Man it's been a long day so many meeting, so much to take in, so many responsibilities. I don't know how mom does this every day. I know I need to learn all of this so I can take over one day, but I'm still young. I want to have fun. Tata think she has it bad because she has to marring into another Kingdom, but she does not have any responsibilities. I would to change places with my spoiled brat of a sister, but then nothing in this Kingdom would get done. I love my sisters but half the time I feel like I'm the mother. Tata is always getting in trouble and Amari is always in everyone's business. I feel like I'm always covering for Tata. She better not try anything to night! I have Amari keeping an eye on her, and Amari cannot hold water. All I have to do is ask the right question and she will sing like a bird. I guess I will go to mom's office and tell her the rundown of the day.

Has I enter mom's office I notice that she is talking to one of the elders so I wait patiently by the door. She turns to me about five minutes later, "Come in darling." Then she turns to the elder and states, "That will be all."

As he turns to walk out the door he nods and I smile. Mom turns to me saying, "The job of a Queen is never over. I hope all was well today. Did you accomplish all that needed to be done?"

I smile and take her by the hand, "Yes mother. There are few things that need to be handled but I have everything under control. I also stopped and talk with one of Tata's teachers. Ms. Henry informed me that Tata has had a lot of mouth lately, but feels as though she has fixed the problem."

Mom frowns, "Do I need to have a talk with your sister?"

I rub her hand, "I think we should wait to see how it all plays out. Ms. Henry says that it seems to be better so we should wait and see if Tata does anything else."

Mom release my hand and walks to the window, "Your sister is so upset about the arrangement. I know that she is just acting out, but I will not tolerate her being disrespectful. If she acts out one more time she will have to answer to me. I wish she could understand the Kings last wish. I will not let her dishonor my deceased husband."

I understand that mom is under a lot of pressure and I will not let Tata make my mother feel bad for honoring my father. I will find some way to get Tata to cooperate.

Mom walks me to my room after our nightly meeting which lasted a little longer than normal and gave me a kiss on my forehead at my bedroom door, "Goodnight darling"

I gave her a hug, "Goodnight."

As I lay on my bed waiting for mom to go to her room I can't help but wonder if Tata is going to sneak out again.

I woke up and went to each room checking on my sisters, which I do every night. But first I went to Amari's room, "Amari wake up! Did you talk to Tata tonight?"

Amari turned over with a quiet voice, "Yes. She said something about some papers and going somewhere that you would not think to look. I tried to go with her but she told me no.

When I reached Tata's room I noticed the same set-up that was in place every time Tata snuck out of the castle. Only the queen was fooled. I knew had to find and bring Tata back before morning, or things were not going to be pretty. First, I went out to the usual spots trying to find Tata, but no luck. Then I remember what Amari said.

Then I decided to stop and ask the older man who always sat on the corner if he had seen Tata. He said, "I saw her ride through the Woods toward the Kingdom to the North." I knew I had to bring her back right away without being seen. We were not allowed to visit any other Kingdom without Queen Irma's permission.

I rode my horse down the dirt road wondering what made Tata always disobedient. I don't understand why she did not care about the consequences of her actions. As I rode into the Kingdom, my worst fears were confirmed. I saw Tata sitting and talking to the man she was to marry on her 18th birthday!

I could tell they both were nervous, because as I rode up the both look scared and fell to one knee. Of course I was confused because royals do not kneel to one another.

Tata stood and said, "Your Majesty I was not expecting you to come and find me. I was done with all of my chores before I left."

I looked confused but decided to play along, "I wanted to find you before your mother awakened. You know how she worries about you. So who is your friend?"

For a second Prince Nathan looked frightened but then let out a huge sigh saying, "I am Man-Man the prince's stable boy. Why would you care about your maid so much?"

I looked at him trying not to blow their cover, "Her mother is important to the Queen and if she is upset then the Queen is upset" turning to her sister she continued "And no one wants the Queen up-set! Maid, where is the horse you came on? We must go! And Man-Man I think you should be on your way also."

Tata lowered her head and pointed. I made sure she got on her horse and we rode off.
