Why do I have to attend every meeting with the Queen and all of the Royal Advisors? I hated these meetings, but knew that I had to attend to learn the ways of the Kingdom. Running a Kingdom was a big job and I knew that mother expects me to know the ends and out of the Kingdom. Mom knew that I would rather be out doing anything other than sitting in a meeting with a lot of old people, but this was something that had to be done. During the meeting, I was comfortable knowing that Amari watching over Tata. I also knew that Amari was always willing to be nosey at any chance she received.

After the meeting I met with mom to ask her some questions, "Mom why are the meetings always the last day of the week at sun down?"

Queen looked confused, "Because during the week so much goes on in the Kingdom that the best time to address them all is at the meeting at the end of the week. I thought that you knew the reason."

I glanced back at her saying, "I knew that but why at sunset?"

The Queen smiled and said, "Your father used to say, "The perfect time to discuss any issue is at sun down. You discuss them and let the problems go down with the sun."

I gave mother a huge grin and said, "I hope to be half the Queen that you are when I take over."

Queen Irma gently placed her hand on my face and said, "You will be that and more. You understand people. You are passionate. You are graceful and you think about others before you think about yourself. I could not give my crown to a better person."

I was so amazed at mother's reaction that I lost all train of thought.

Then I remembered what wanted to discuss, "The reason I really wanted to talk to you is because of Tata."

The Queen looked puzzle, "What about your sister?"

"Well, what do you think about Tata meeting Prince Nathan before she marries him?"

The Queen placed her hand on my shoulder, "What do you mean? Your father decided before he died that they were not to meet before their wedding. I feel the arrangement that was made should be honored. Kayla, why do ask?"

Looking mom in the eyes, "Tata is so miserable thinking about having to marry someone that she has never met and that makes me despondent. I just want my sister to be happy."

Mother stated, "The same arrangement was made for me when I was a princess and I could not have been happier with my life. Tata will learn to love Prince Nathan as I learned to love your father."

I lowered my head and said, "Yes mother."

It was then that I knew to keep my sister's secret. Mother would be so disappointed and no one wanted The Queen upset.

After the meeting, I go to both rooms to check on her sisters. When I could not find them in the Kingdom I knew where to look. I jumped on my horse and rode off as fast as I could toward the Kingdom to the North. It was just as she had suspected Princess Tata, Princess Amari, and Prince Nathan (Man-Man) were all sitting and laughing at the same spot where I had found Tata and Man-Man the previous night.

As I rode up, Tata and Man-Man fell to one knee as Amari looked at them as if they were crazy. Tata grabbed Amari by the arm and pulled her down.

Kayla jumped off her horse and addressed her sisters, "Ladies I think that it is time that you said goodnight."

Tata got up off her knee and took Man-Man by the hand and looked him in his eyes saying, "I wish that we had more time. I love talking to you. You are the best thing that has happened to me in a very long time."

Tata gave him a hug and whispered in his ear, "I will see you again I promise. I will meet you every Saturday night behind the building where we first met at the same time we first laid eyes on each other."

Man-Man smiled and kissed Tata's hand and said, "Till we meet again." He then turns to Princess Amari, "It was nice to meet you Kim."

Amari smiled and said, "Likewise."

As Man-Man walked off, the girls jumped on their horses and rode back toward their Kingdom.

When they got back to the castle everyone went to their own room. When I saw Tata go into her room and shut the door, I tip toed over to Amari's room to get the scoop of the day's activities. Of course, Amari was more than willing to tell everything.

I cracked open the door, walked in, and sat on the corner of Amari's bed, "So what all happened today Amari?"

Amari smiled and started telling everything that happened, "Well first Tata caught me hiding behind the tree and called me out. Then Man-Man walked up and it all began. I mean Tata is in love with him. The way that she looks at him, talks to him, and even holds him."

With a shocked expression, "What do you mean hold him?"

Amari started laughing saying, "Not like that. They gave each other a quick hug once, but you could tell that it had meaning. Anyway, they talked about everything. Of course, some of what Tata was saying was not the truth, mainly about working as a maid."

I started laughing and said under her breath, "I'm sure he was lying too."

Amari said, "What?"

"Never mind, continue."

Amari continued, "Tata talked about how great it was working in the castle and how "Tata" was so wonderful. I mean I wanted to laugh so hard. How could Tata want to be with a stable boy?"

Whispered under my breath, "The same way that he wants to be with a maid."

Once again confused Amari said, "What?"

"Never mind I'm just thinking out loud."

Amari demanded, "Stop thinking out loud if you do not want me to hear! Anyway Tata and this stable boy look like they are getting serious. What are we going to do? She is to be married in a few months."

I grabbed Amari's hand on the bed and said, "It will work itself out. I have faith that everything is happening for a reason. Trust me."

Amari raised one eyebrow and stated, "What do you know that I don't? I wish that I could be as calm about everything. I am just afraid that Tata will do something stupid and upset mother and make the Kingdom look bad."

"Trust me. Everything will work out for the best. Please, have faith."

Amari agreed.
