It usually happens when there's noise.
The sound of chaos all around me.
That moment when everyone and everything begins to sound like white noise.
      It always takes me back to that time when I was 7 years old and I was alone.

      My breath becomes short and my eyes begin to overflow with tears. Then, it all falls out of control. Words become echoes that translate into foriegn noises. My face and arms become numb and all I feel is the pain that is left.

But when it's over, it feels like emerging from the ocean.
Giving your body air again, giving it life again. Only to then be destroyed by the fear of nearly dying again.
