The next morning El and I woke up and Mike brought us our breakfast as he had already finished his. He walked over to us and pulled the waffles out of his pockets and handed each of us one.

"Thank you," I said to him gratefully.  These waffle things tasted so good, El and I both agreed that we would never pass up a waffle and that we would only eat them for breakfast; nothing else was allowed.

After we finished breakfast we began to mess with the Supercomm trying to find Will. With El and I working together it proved to be less draining on the both of us.

After trying for a little while we had found him. He spoke faintly on the other side of the Supercomm, "Will," we asked as we listened to the radio static on the other side. He didn't want us to talk to him right now, he was scared, I could feel it.

Mike and his friends started to come up with a plan for after school let out because we were going to try and find where Will was. Eleven and I weren't too sure about their plan, they didn't know about the bad men. The bad things that they were willing to do if they got too close to finding the gate, so Eleven and I talked silently to each other after the boys all left.

"They can't find him. Bad men," Eleven said to me as we hid in our tent Mike had made for us our first night here.

"Too dangerous," I nodded my head her. It was then that we silently agreed to do anything needed to keep them from finding the gate. After they got out of school at 3:15 we walked out to the power lines that Mike told us about before he left this morning. We sat out there for ten or fifteen minutes and we were both growing more worried with each passing minute.

"Three-one-five. Three-one-five. Three-one-five," Eleven kept mumbling to herself. Then, there was a cat that hissed at both of us. Eleven just stared at it as it continued to growl and hiss at her. She looked scared as she stared off at it.

"They'll be here. He promised," I said to El since she looked the most worried. She wasn't paying me any attention, making no effort to let me know she heard me. I shook her arm lightly as I said, "El? Eleven?" I got no answer. This worried me, and then Mike, Dustin, and Lucas came biking around the corner of the house to see El looking scared while she stared at the cat and then they saw me trying to break her from the memory. I had no choice, I had to try to get into her mind, explain that it wasn't real and that we were never going back there again.

"Eleven, listen to me. It's not real. You aren't there anymore. Come back to us." Nothing, no response. Mike and the boys walked over to where we were.

I took a step closer to El and tried focusing as much of my energy as I could, "Eleven, listen to me. It's not real. You aren't there anymore. Come back to us."

I repeated it once more, hoping it would work. I had never tried to use my powers on another person like me before. Papa never got me to that level of experimentation. I said, "Eleven, listen to me. It's not real. You aren't there anymore. Come back to us," in my head one more time, and she finally broke free and looked over to me.

"I heard you," was all she could say as she walked over to me to thank me. I wiped the blood from my nose and looked back to the group.

"You're welcome," I said to her.

"What just happened," Dustin asked as watched the exchange between Eleven and I.

"I used my power to get her out of the bad place," I simply stated.

"That is so cool," Dustin exclaimed while sporting a rather large smile.

"Okay, well we only have a few hours so hop on," Mike said to El and me. She got on Dustin's bike and I got on Mike's. The ride was very bumpy which caused me to hold on to Mike tighter. We made it as far as we could on the bikes before we had to get off and start walking. Dustin and Lucas were walking next to each other ahead of us while I stood between Mike and El.

"Why did they hurt you," El asked looking at Mike's face. I also looked up to his face and he had a mark that wasn't there this morning before he left.

"What? Oh, that. Uh... I just fell at recess," he tried to say, but I knew he was lying.

"Mike," I said.

"Yeah," he asked looking down to me.

"Friends tell the truth."

Mike sighed before telling us both the truth, "I was tripped by this mouthbreather, Troy, okay?"

"Mouthbreather," El questioned.

"Yeah, you know... a dumb person," Mike said.

"A knucklehead," Lucas butted in.

"Knucklehead," I question, unfamiliar with the word.

"I don't know why I didn't just tell you guys. Everyone at school knows. I guess I didn't want you to think of me as a wastoid, you know," Mike explained to both El and me.

"Mike," El said, "We understand," she gestured to the both of us as she spoke.

"Oh, okay cool," he said. And El and I just kept on leading the boys to where Will was hiding in the woods.

After we walked for a long time we finally made it, "Here," we both stated.

"Yeah, this is where Will lives," Dustin said growing annoyed.

"Will went missing from here. Understand," Mike questioned both of us.

"What are we doing here," Lucas questioned as he groaned annoyed.

"They say Will is hiding here," Mike answered.

"I swear if we walked all the way out her for nothing-," Dustin started but was cut off by Lucas.

"That's exactly what we did! I told you she didn't know what the hell she was talking about," Lucas yells at us loudly.

"What are we doing here," Mike asked calmly looking over to us.

Eleven and I just stuttered trying to figure the words to say to them.

"Mike, don't waste your time with them," Lucas stated.

"Well, what are we going to do," Dustin questioned the group.

"Call the cops like we should have done yesterday," Lucas yelled beginning to walk away.

"We are not calling the cops," Mike yelled back to Lucas.

"Hey guys," Dustin yelled, breaking the two's scream fighting up just as sirens flew past them and down to the quarry.

"Will," Mike said and they all ran in the direction of the sirens.

"It can't be Will. It's not Will," Dustin said reassuring not only himself but his friends as they drag a body out of the water and to the shore. They place the body on a bed with wheels.

"It's him. It's Will," Lucas spoke, saying that words that none of the other boys wanted to admit.

"Mike," El and I questioned, about to explain what was happening.

" 'Mike?' 'Mike' what," he turned to us angrily with tears in his eyes. " You were supposed to help us find him alive. You both said he was alive! Why did you guys lie to us," he questioned with a hurt expression on his face. Then he asked us one more question, "What is wrong with you?"

"Mike," Dustin said quietly, "Don't do this, man." Mike got up and walked away from the group as he disappeared into the woods. Eleven and I just stood, frozen and shock from Mike's outburst.

"Mike," Lucas yelled.

"Mike, where are you going, man," Dustin questioned next. He didn't listen to them. He just left Eleven and I sitting here with nowhere to go now. We couldn't go back to his house, he was mad at us and thought that we lied to him. Friends tell the truth, always. Dustin and Lucas gave us both a sad look before they walked off to try and find Mike.
