Chapter 6

"And they finally arrive" Jonah says
"Yep were here and the party has officially started" I say and proudly smile
"Whatever you wanna tell yourself" Zach says
"Well why are we just standing here let's go in" I say and grab Daniels hand and walk inside Krystal's house with him. There were actually a lot of people inside, so much for just a small party. There was a table of drinks set up in the kitchen area so we went that way. I wasn't an expert on alcohol so I asked some girl nearby
"Hey which of these drinks is the strongest" I ask and she looked at me then Daniel.
"The red one over there" She says a points to 3 bottles filled with something red.
"Ok thanks" I say and grab a bottle and Daniel gets two cups.
"Hey and you two don't have too much fun" The girl randomly says then laughs. Weird.
"Hey so you sure you wanna try this?" Daniel asks and hands me a cup.
"Yeah I need a distraction from the whole breakup drama" I say and pour the drink into our cups. He nodded in agreement and we both drank it. Daniel only took a sip but like half of the cup, I drank the whole cup in one so I poured myself more.
"Hey just remember to pace yourself with the drinks, okay? I don't want you to do anything you'll regret" Daniel says
"Yeah I know" I say and continue to pour another cup to drink.
"I'm gonna see of one of my friends is here yet are you gonna be alright alone a few minutes?"
"Yeah don't worry go ahead" I respond and continue to drink more
——time skip two hours later——
Not gonna lie by this time I was already pretty drunk and was playing beer pong on a table outside with some random people. I got the back in the last cup and won.
"Hahah take that loser. Who's next" I slurred my words and started to feel kinda dizzy
"Y/n that was a great throw good job" I heard a voice say as they wrapped their arms around my waist behind me.
"Thanks I'm pretty much a pro at this" I say still slurring my words. I turned around to see who it was. Matthew.
"Get off" I say and try to pull his arms off me but wasn't able to get the strength too because of how wasted I was right now.
"What do you say we sneak off and go upstairs alone hm?" He asks whispering in my ear.
"I said get the fuck off of me you douchebag" I shout and try to pull him off again but still couldn't. By now a bunch of people were staring at us, mostly him, so he backed off and walked somewhere else. I went back inside and it seemed like more people were here. I walked through the crowd to the kitchen and grabbed some random bottle and poured some into a cup. I was gonna go back outside to not be around so many people but on my way walking back out someone walked into me causing my drink to spill all over me. I looked up and saw it was just Daniel who clearly looked drunk too
"Y/n oh my god I'm so sorry" He said kinda slurring his words.
"It's fine I'll just try to clean it off" I say and walk back into the kitchen to grab napkins then sat on the end of a couch to lean against the armrest. Daniel followed me carrying more napkins and sat next to me. I tried cleaning the drink off my tube top but it was still wet.
"Here's some more" He handed me more napkins once I used all the ones I got.
I looked up to look at Daniel but got distracted by what I saw behind him. Matthew was talking to Jade. She was the girl he always said he was just friends with but always acted suspicious when I brought her up like if he was guilty. I kept looking at them and accidentally made eye contact with Matt.
Just as we did he leaned in and kissed her. I know I should be over him because he was an asshole to me and we were broken up but it hurt to know he lied.
Daniel noticed and trying his best to not slur words he said
"Hey what's- what's wrong" He says and looks behind him. "C'mon y/n he's not worth it" Dani says and moves closer. I didn't say anything and just looked at Daniel's eyes.
"Hey,Daniel?" I say continuing to look into his eyes
"Yeah?" He responds
"I don't know if I'm just completely wasted right now from all the alcohol and shots I've had but your like really hot" I say and move my face closer to his but still leaving space between us.
He let out a cute small chuckle
"You're gorgeous y/n. With or without all the alcohol in my system, you're gorgeous and breathing and amazing in every way" He says continuing to talk while he moves closer. I didn't really know what I was even doing at this point but before I knew it out faces were less than an inch apart from eachother.
"You don't mean that Daniel. Tomorrow we won't even remember having this conversation" I say and lean my forehead against his and look at his ocean blue eyes.
"Then it won't matter what we do tonight" He says before leaning in connecting lips. Before I could process what was going on I kissed back and at that moment everything felt right.
