Chapter 11

I sat on the ground outside the school campus and waited for my uber to get here. He finally got here and I went home for a while. I changed into a loose white shirt with green jeans and put on white high top converse. I was about to go downstairs to go out but got a call from Corbyn.
"Y/n what's wrong with you and Daniel?" Corbyn asks right away sounding concerned.
"I don't know he was ignoring me at lunch and when some girl he was with was being rude to me he walked away and then we talked in the hallway and he started saying shit like I was making myself seem like the victim in a situation and I don't even know what that was about because when I asked he just said it doesn't matter because he obviously meant
nothing to me and then said he thought I was the best person in the work but he was wrong and then just left so I went home because I didn't wanna be there anymore" I explained and Corbyn sighed
"So he didn't tell you why he was upset?" He asks in a softer tone.
"No"
"Can we meet up somewhere I wanna explain it to you to hear your side of the story" He asked
"What story?" I say confused
"Just meet me at the yogurt land by the mall" He said
"Okay?" I said still confused but was just going with it. I hung up and grabbed my money and ID and put it in my wallet and put that inside a
mini matte black backpack. I got my skateboard from the garage because I didn't wanna pay more money for another uber and just skated to yogurt land. After a few minutes I finally got there and saw Corbyn on his phone at a table outside. I sat across from him and he looked up from his phone
"So why are we here?" I ask still confused
"Daniel didn't want me to tell anyone because he wanted to just ignore it but he said his first class he left to go take something to the office for a teacher and he said he saw you and Matthew kinda making out in the hallway during class and he got upset about it so I guess that's why he said he meant nothing to you and all that other stuff he said" Corbyn explained.
"First of all I wasn't making out with Matthew because I thought he was Daniel. I went to the restroom and on my way back to class someone pulled me into a closet and it sounded like Daniel but all I heard was a faint chuckle and a shadow figure because it was dark. It wasn't until after that I saw it was him"
"Yeah all he saw was y'all kissing and then just went somewhere else to text me about it" He adds. I took a minute so figure it all out and then thought of something that was still confusing
"Even if I was kissing Matthew why did it bother him so much? I mean yeah he's an asshole and all but why would it if me and Daniel are just friends with benefits" I say and Corbyn sighs 
"You're really asking why?"
"Yes"
"Y/n it's obvious that kid loves you"
"Yeah we've been best friends since forever and I love him too" I add
"No not like that. He has feelings for you, he always has. I don't know how you don't see it but he's crazy over you, he looks at you like he's never looked at any other girl he's ever been around. He talks about you like you mean the absolutely everything to him. He loves you y/n, as more than friends" He explained and it left me shocked.
So every time Daniel would be protective about me dating certain guys was it because
he actually had feelings for? Why wouldn't he say anything about it? How long has he liked me? I hope I didn't just lose him forever.
"Corbyn.." I didn't know what to say "..did I just lose the only person in the world who means so much to me, forever?"
"Not forever. Talk to him or at least say something if not then you you'll be stuck without him. But do you have any feelings for him..?" He said and asked quietly
"I mean I think I might be starting to but I'm still not completely sure. Like yeah there are some times where I feel like me and him are like the only two people in the world and that makes me happy, just the thought of him
makes me happy. And every time I look in his eyes it calms me down and helps me forget about everything and any issues" I say and realize I do like Daniel.
"Awww that's so cute" Corbyn says with his voice getting higher and smiles "Well if you don't wanna lose him talk to him. If you want I'll drive you to his house so you guys can talk things out" He suggests.
"Can you?" I ask
"Yeah"
"Ok but can we get yogurt first" I say and laugh
"Hahah yeah of course" He responded and we went inside to get some. We finished and he drove me to Daniels house
"Call me if anything, ok?" He says before I get out I nod and say thanks then walk to the front of the door. I took a breath in before knocking.
