his nimble fingers wrap around my throat,
i'm choking.
my eyes,
glazed over and glassy,
see a world shrouded in dark.
his words,
all too familiar,
repeat,
now sewn into my brain.
they will hurt you,
leave you,
judge you.
my heart throws itself against my chest,
and suddenly all else goes silent.
thump.
thump.
thump.
i am suffocating,
though there is no lack of air.,
i am drowning,
yet no water surrounds me,
i am screaming,
but there is only silence.~Lauren // anxiety
