"Ow!" Taehyung whines.
Seokjin grumbles, pulling another gauze pad from the packet. "What the hell were you thinking?" he says, ignoring the pained noises that left Taehyung as he pressed the gauze onto his bloody lip, cleaning the wound.
Taehyung hisses at the pressure, hands flying up and resting on Seokjin's hips reflexively, unconsciously squeezing them. "He started it." the man-child pouts.
Seokjin taps under his chin, signaling to turn his head back up so he could clean Taehyung's busted lip properly. Taehyung complies easily, a bit afraid of angry Seokjin.
"Getting in a fight just like that? Do you realize how irresponsible that is of you? Don't you listen to what I'm constantly telling you?" Seokjin rants mindlessly, moving from Taehyung's lip to the cut on his cheekbone. He cringes at the amount of blood on Taehyung's face, tossing the bloodied gauze on the pile formed atop Taehyung's office desk.
"I do listen to what you're telling me." Taehyung defends. Will he admit that the reason he even got in a fight was because the random punk he fought spoke about Seokjin inappropriately? No...
"You need to stop doing this, Taehyung." Seokjin sighs. "You are not a child anymore. You're a grown man now, twenty-seven years of age. You have a daughter for crying out loud! Take responsibility!"
"Would you stop lecturing me?" Taehyung groans. "I realize that I am not a child, I realize that I am a grown man. I know my age and I know that I have a daughter, I take responsibility! But if someone challenges me, I will bite back and I will bite hard. I won't step down, you know that very well."
Seokjin rolls his eyes, allowing himself to take a step forward when Taehyung pulls him to himself, the grip he has on Seokjin's hips still tight. "How did he even challenge you?"
"Doesn't matter." Taehyung shrugs, fingering at the belt loop of Seokjin's pants.
"Just don't fight anymore, please?" Seokjin pleads, looking down at Taehyung who was seated in his chair while he stood above him. Taehyung stayed quiet. "...Please?"
Taehyung huffs and rolls his eyes. "Fine, I won't fight anymore... It's getting hard to explain the traces to Hannah anyway." He admits, biting on his bottom lip.
Seokjin goes to warn him of the cut in his lip, although a little too late as Taehyung squeaks loudly and jumps in his chair, in turn making Seokjin laugh. He smiles along with Seokjin, unable to help himself as his laughter was yet again funnier than the situation.
Seokjin sobers up just a bit, finishes cleaning all of Taehyung's wounds, tilts Taehyung's head back to check his face again. "Well, it is to be expected. She's three years old, of course she'll be worried and scared when she sees her dad hurt and in pain. Your baby loves you and it's mostly because of her that I am asking this of you."
"So you pleading with me to stop fighting was because of her...and not because of me?" Taehyung tilts his head, mocking hurt.
"Yes." Seokjin deadpans, smacking Taehyung upside the head. "She doesn't need that stress at such a young age, and I am definitely not letting you stress her or me out like that."
"Ooh, I stress you out too?" Tae beams cheekily, lowkey flattered to know the elder cares enough.
"Of course you do." Seokjin fake smiles. "It's not exactly comforting to watch my boss get beat up over and over again."
"I beg to differ." Taehyung gasps. "I'm the one that beats people up, not the one getting beat up."
"Oh, so that's why you come here with bruises and cuts all over your face and body?" Seokjin teases, pressing a finger against the band aid above Taehyung's eyebrow.
