{Albert's POV}

I could feel my face heat up. I couldn't let him know I was starving myself! He'd be worried and I'd only be a weight on his shoulders! "I-I just d-don't eat much t-that's all.." I sputtered. Jake looked into my eyes, it felt like he was staring straight through me. He grabbed my hand and lifted the sweater I was wearing. He saw it. He saw the cuts. He saw what a problem I had, and he shouldn't have seen it.

I could feel his hands shaking, he was horrified. "Albert." He choked out. I felt something hot and small drop onto my neck. I then realized he was crying. His face was pressed into the crook of my neck, I could feel his tears pouring down his face. "Albert why do you do this?" He sobbed. "Lana.. She.. She affected me so much.. I couldn't deal with myself.. I thought it was my fault." I could feel Jakes' hands squeeze me tighter. "Albert, it wasn't your fault. She cheated. It was her decision to do something she'll clearly regret later on.." He looked up at me, his eyes were red with tears. "Jake.."

Jake collapses to the ground. I nearly went down with him. "Albert you need help. Why didn't you tell me sooner?" "I-I didn't wanna be a weight on your shoulders.." Jake pulled me down to the ground and hugged me again. "You'd never be a weight on my shoulders, Al." The rest of the time we spent together like that was filled with comfortable silence. We both calmed down and he got up, holding his hand out to help me up. I grabbed his hand and got up. "You wanna eat somewhere?" I nodded and gave him a genuine smile, which I hadn't had in such a long time.

He grabbed my hand and we walked out the door together. He grabbed his coat, it was August, and he slipped out the door, his hand still tightly wrapped around mine. He led me to his car which was parked outside. I got a chill down my spine as the cold air outside touched my warm skin. He opened the door for me and I sat down. He closed it and got into the drivers seat. He started driving and when we got to the 2nd light, I slowly started to drift off into thought. I wonder if he could tell I liked him. Ghh, there's no way he likes me- "—and it was really weird, ya know?" He was talking to me! "U-uh, yeah I get you. That sounds weird." He chuckled. "So yeah! He just—" I decided to tune him out and sleep.

{Third person POV}

Albert woke up to Jake shaking him awake. "ALBERT" he raised his voice. "Uughh what??" Albert said, putting his hand on Jakes face. He moved his hand. "Albert we're here." He said. He put his hand on his stomach and realized how hungry he always was. He always wanted to eat, but he never did. He got up and out of the car. Jake was already outside, his breath visible in the frozen air. They walked up to the café and ordered some normal breakfast stuff. They waited for probably half the time you'd wait for a normal restaurant or café to give you your food. Albert dug in, enjoying the taste of the sweetness on his tongue. He hadn't ate like this in so long. Jake took small bites from his food, watching Albert shovel food into his mouth. He was glad Albert got to eat again.

After their meal, Albert had felt so full. He had definitely needed food. Jake only finished 3 fourths of his food, he got a lot. Albert was sipping on some milk he ordered with his food. He had a childish gleam in his eyes, Jake loved it. Jake loved Albert in general, but he couldn't tell him that. Albert also loved him, but he didn't dare tell him. Maybe one day he'll come out of the closet. Jake could feel a smile creeping onto his face. Albert, clearly oblivious to this, already had a smile on his. It was childish and funny. Jake pulled out his card and set it down on the receipt which was on a small plate.

After around 5 minutes of talking and one Jake had gotten his card back, they decided to leave the small café so other customers could enjoy the food. Albert had gotten back into the car and so did Jake. They started to drive off and Jake began talking to Albert again. "So, what do you think about getting a therapist?" Jake asked. "Um, I just want to feel better.. A therapist might help.." Albert replied lowly. "I can schedule one for you, if you'd like—" "it's fine, I don't want to be a weight on your shoulders and take your money." He spoke his mind without realizing it. "Ah! I-I-" He was cut of by Jake laughing. "Oh Albert, you're not a weight! Nor do you take my money! We get paid to post stupid stuff on the internet, I could just post double if I really needed it!" Albert smiled a bit, knowing he'd changed the subject successfully.
