{Jake's POV}
I've scheduled a therapist appointment for Albert. Though he seemed reluctant, he still said he'd do it. I'm glad he did, though. I can tell he needs it. Albert is my best friend and I can't stand watching him suffer like this. I watched Albert from across the couch, he was playing on his phone, probably trying not to think about speaking his mind. He's not the kind of person who would talk about his feelings with a stranger. But he knows it'll make me happy. He knows I care. He doesn't know that I love him though. All he knows is that I want him safe and happy.
We started driving to his new therapist a bit early, since the street we have to take is often busy and has a lot of traffic. "D-do you think I'll like them?" He looked at me. I only glanced at him before looking back at the road. "They're nice. I'm sure you'll like them." I told him. Though he didn't look convinced, he nodded.
We got to the building, and entered. The warm blast of air in my face somewhat surprised me, even though it's the middle of winter and I should expect that from any building. Albert took a swift look around and sat down on one of the many couches they had there. I walked up to the receptionist. "Hi, how may I help you?" The lady at the desk asked me. "I'm waiting on an appointment at 6:30." "For who?" "Dr. Sara." I told her. "She should be ready soon, please, take a seat." She smiled at me. I sat down next to Albert, who was nervously fidgeting with his pop-socket on his phone.
"You don't have to be nervous, Albert. She's someone you can talk to." Albert looked over at me. "But I don't know her!" He whispered into my ear. I could tell he was resistant when I asked him to get a therapist, but I didn't know he was this scared.. "Albert, you gotta! It's for your own good." I insisted. Albert knew I just wanted to help him, but sometimes, even doing something for your best friend is hard. I felt a frown crawl onto my face and I could tell Albert hated that. "N-no no no no! I just, I-I just don't know them I-" He looked at back at his phone. He wanted to avoid this conversation. I could tell he didn't want to talk about it.
{Third person POV}
The receptionist called to Jake. "Sir? Dr. Sara is ready for you." Albert's head perked up and his eyes went wide. Jake grabbed his hand and held it tight. "You can do it." He said to him comfortingly. The door opened and a pretty woman walked out, dr. Sara. She had pretty blonde hair, and a nice gray jacket. She smiled at the two and said "so which of you is Albert?" She asked. "He is," Jake said, pointing to Albert, "but I'm coming with him." He said. "Well come on in, don't be shy." She said and opened the door to her room. Albert hesitantly walked into the room and sat down. Jake followed. "So, why are you in here, Albert?" She looked at him, clipboard in hand. "W-well, I can't get over a breakup I had a few months ago.." He told her. "Hm." She said and wrote something down on her clipboard.
After an hour, Sara had gotten all the info she could get out of him for that day. Jake gave her the money and they left the room. "See? It wasn't that hard." Jake told Albert. "Um, yeah, I guess.." He said. They started driving home with Albert still being kinda nervous, even though the interaction was over. Albert was never really someone who opened up to someone right away.
They got home and Albert immediately went to his room. Probably to record or something, he had yet to post a single video since he had scheduled a therapist, which was around a week ago. He did in fact have extra back up videos to post whenever he wanted. He just tried to save them for when he really needed them. Jake wen to his room to sleep. Just to sleep. At 8 o'clock. So thats what he did.
