Shelby's P.O.V

I know that Light isn't made to be mean. And I was fully aware of this since the beginning. But...

'You want me to be more mean?'

'Yes I do actually.'

'Well... I'm gonna try. Gimmie a name.'

'Jimmy!'

'Of someone in the FAE, you dimwit.'

'Hm, name calling. That's a start. Um... Lauren.'

'Alright then.'

'Why are you doing this now?'

Because I've had the urge to do it for a while. 'Because you won't stop nagging me to do it.'

'No I won't.'

Lauren was in her room, eating bread and staring off into space. She didn't pay attention to me until I locked the door. She looked at me with a small, friendly smile. "Hey Shelby. Did you need something?" Lauren asked.

I stood still, not moving a single muscle. 'Do something!'

'Like what?!'

'I dunno, take her magic or something.'

'She's a mentor, how much is she worth anyway?'

'Say that to her!'

I sat down in Lauren's desk chair, turning it round to face her. "So... you're a mentor? Hm. Don't think you're worth much these days," I said.

"What do you mean?" Lauren asked slowly. She didn't look upset.

"The FAE are strong enough without you mentors. All you ever do is shout commands. And even then, they aren't necessary. So I guess what I'm saying is... do you really think you need to be here?"

"I-I..."

"What if... you know... I forced my sword through your chest. How would we all feel then? If you die... Will can't bring you back. The only people who can are Cory and I, and that's only if we work together. I wouldn't be willing to do that."

"Then the others will get rid of you. There's more of them than there is of you."

"Not for long. The EAPE are weak. They need someone strong to better lead them. Someone like me."

"No... b-but you've been gifted the power of Life! You are the embodiment of Light, what the good-hearted people represent! You can't turn over."

"And what are you gonna do to stop me? Face it, Lauren, you're weak now. You may have been strong all those months... years ago, even... but I'M the real powerful one now."

"I'm not weak..." Sadness shined in Lauren's eyes. It... it made me smile.

"Oh, but you are. Mentors were only powerful when we started out. But now you're just a burden." I chuckled. "You're not worth anymore of my time, you weak little swine."

"Shelby, d-"

"Bye now!"

I was gone in a flash of light.

I sighed when I appeared back in my bedroom. 'That was great! I was thoroughly entertained.'

'I have to be honest with you... I-I...'

'What? Ooh! Did you enjoy it?'

'M-maybe...'
