Chapter 4: Don't be.

{Shane's Pov}

I woke up, and looked at my phone. It was 11am. Sh**. Lisa. I see I also have a text from 'Joey-Anya <3' that he had put in his own contact into my phone. Cute. But.. Did we really.. Last night.. I can't believe my first time was with a dude. Not that that is a bad thing, honestly, I did enjoy myself quite a bit, but I'm shocked. What brought me to do this? What made Joey want to go along with it? I read the text.

How in the world was it Joey's fault? He needed to not be so hard on himself. Was I just lonely last night? Or do I.. No. I love Lisa, right? She loves me, right? One day we are gonna get married.. Right? Or not? Maybe I am gay.. But is Joey even? I know we slept together, but just because two dudes sleep together, it doesn't offically make either of them gay, right? Joey would tell me everything. We are basically best friends. Besides him and Meghan, we are closest to eachother, or atleast used to be before Lisa kept me from seeing him for a few months since she was jealous. Well now I see why. But now we are more than best fiends. We're bestfriends with benefits.

Text to 'Joey-Anya <3': It's not your fault in any way. It's mine. I hope we are still friends. Wanna go get some lunch, after Lisa gets back? I won't tell her, I swear. I won't tell anyone.

I stare at my screen for 5 whole minutes, and finally get a text back from 'Joey-Anya <3': Sure. Friends. And lunch sounds great. I'll meet you at the pizza parlor at 3:30?

Finally he texted back. What took him so long? Is he nervous to talk to me?

Text to 'Joey-Anya <3': Sounds awesome.

I threw the sheets into the washer, and threw some pre-used pajamas on so it didn't look like I hadn't been wearing any, since I hadn't. I ate a bowl of cereal, and watched T.V until Lisa got home.

For a while we didn't talk, like we usually don't. But finally I said something to her.

Shane: How's your mom?

I ask her. She looks back at me confused. Then she looks at me like something just popped into her head.

Lisa: Oh! My mom! Yeah, she's great! Just a cold!

Shane: That's nice.. Is it okay if I go out to lunch with Joey?

Lisa: I couldn't care less- I mean sure.

She is definitely cheating on me. That makes both of us cheaters. Mine was just one time though. She's probably been sleeping around with some dude(s) for two months now. She's almost never home besides when she has to film.

I get dressed quickly, and meet him a Julio's pizza, like promised. When I see him get out of the car, I give him a tight hug. He flinched a little bit.

Shane: Oh! Sorry!

I saw Joey's face turn a dark red.

Joey:I'mfine,it'sfine.ThisisembarrassingandIdon'twannatalkaboutitcanwepleasegoinside?

Joey said that quickly and we both laughed. I hold the door open for him, like the gentleman I am.Maybe I do like him more than a best friend. Maybe even more than a best friend with benefits.
