More Than my Twin

Chapter 6

*Cory POV*
I wake up in the morning and look next to me to see my twin still asleep. Then I remember what happened last night. He is my twin but now he is also more than that. He is also my boyfriend. I look at my alarm clock and see that it is 6:45. I lean over and peck Coby's lips gently and he wakes up.
"Mornin" He says
"Go ahead and get a shower while I make breakfast" I say
"Don't you need one" he asks
"I took mine last night. Remember, I prefer night showers? I know you like morning showers better" I say
"Yeah yeah yeah. That's right. Sorry I forgot" he says
"It's alright. I can't ask you to remember everything" I say
We get out of bed and I get him some of my clothes to wear and a towel then go downstairs while he heads to the bathroom. I go to the kitchen and start working on eggs and bacon. By the time I'm done Coby is showered, dressed, and has the table set. I serve us breakfast then we hug each other and I kiss his cheek.
"Hmm you smell good" I say
"Well I used your body wash. This is what you smell like everyday" he says
"I must smell good then" I say
"Definitely" He says
"We should eat so we can get to work" I say
We sit down and eat. Once we are done I go upstairs and get dressed for the day. I go downstairs and Coby is just finishing up cleaning the dishes from breakfast.
"You ready to go" he asks when he sees me
"Yeah. Are we taking both vehicles or just one" I ask
"Let's take both. You know just in case one of us needs to stay late or leave early" he says
"Ok" I say
"Do you know something that I don't know" he asks
"No. I'm just thinking about being prepared" I say
"Ok" he says
we go out to our cars and head to the office. I pull in next to Coby and we get out of our cars just as Garrett arrives. He gets out of his car and comes over to us.
"Something happened last night between the two of you. I don't know what happened but I can just feel it. You two are definitely in a better mood" he says
"I don't know. All I know is that I actually had a good night sleep and didn't wake up once in the middle of the night" Coby says and then goes inside
"So what happened last night" Garrett asks
"I'm not saying" I say
I turn around and go inside and to my office. I do what I need to do then join the other guys at our table for overtime.
"Alright let's do this" Cody says
"Overtime 11. You five ready" Chad asks
"Always" I say
"Alright. Filming in 3... 2... 1... action" Tim says
"Welcome back everyone. Twins why don't you do the honor" Tyler says
"Get ready everyone" I say
"Because you're in for a treat" Coby says
"It's time for overtime 11" we both say
*intro song*
"Beautiful. Let's get started. We have a few fun segments for today. No new ones just some old ones. We will start it off with cool not cool, go to betcha, bloops and finish off with wheel unfortunate" Tyler says
Chad yells cut and we break talking about random things until Tim grabs our attention.
"Alright so we already have the bloopers and have them edited together. We already filmed the betcha we just need to film cool not cool and wheel unfortunate. We can do cool not cool today and then film the picking of the name and the spinning of the wheel today and then film the event for wheel unfortunate tomorrow" Tim says
"Ok. Well everyone has their item right" Cody asks
"Yeah" everyone but Coby says
"Coby do you have one" Tyler asks
"I'm sorry. I was so focused on everything that has been happening and forgot that was one of the segments" Coby says
"It's okay. You were occupied and I understand. How about we just film the wheel stuff today and then on Friday we will film cool not cool because tomorrow and Thursday everyone has the day off." Garrett says
"Yeah that works" I say
We get ready and chad motions that we're filming.
"Well boys it's that time of the show. The part that we all love. It's time for" Tyler starts
"Wheel unfortunate" we all say
"Alright let me go get our new hat for this week." Tyler says
He runs off and then comes back.
"Today we are using the propeller hat" Tyler says
"Ooh fun" Coby says
"I will pick the name" Garrett says
"How about we throw the hat in the air and whichever name lands facing upwards is the person" Cody says
"Wow codes that's not a bad idea" Tyler says
Tyler hands the hat to Garrett and he throws it up in the air. All the papers land and surprisingly only one paper lands face up. I grab it and laugh. I show it to Tyler and he laughs as well.
"The unlucky winner is Coby Cotton" Tyler announces
"Well Coby, Spin that wheel" I smile
He glares at me and walks off. The filming stops and then moves to do the wheel. He then comes back a few minutes later smirking.
"What did you get" Garrett asks
"Hang upside down for an hour or two" Coby says
"That is so unfair. We all know you can hang upside down and that you like it." Tyler says
"Well that's unfortunate" Coby says
"You're suppose to be the unfortunate one not us" I say
"Like I said. That's unfortunate" Coby says
"Let's just get you hanging upside down" Cody says
We go to the gym and to the machine we used for the bungee slam dunk.
"This really isn't fair. Chad, Tim, can he please respin the wheel" Garrett asks
"Nope. We clearly established the rules when we created this segment and we are not changing them again. Deal with it" Chad says
Coby goes over to chad and hi-fives him. Coby gets on the machine and just hangs there.
"This is really great. You get to see the world from a new perspective. It's amazing" Coby gushes
The guys start groaning and I silently laugh to myself. Us guys just hang out in the gym and then after an hour and a half we go over to Coby. We go over and his eyes are shut. I run over to him panicked but when I get over there I just realize he's asleep so I start laughing. The others realize what happened and they laugh as well. Chad gets the camera and starts filming while Tim brings us an airhorn and mat. We put the mat in place then get ready.
"Well folks it looks like Coby fell asleep. Cory You sure your brother isn't a vampire" Tyler asks
"I'm pretty sure. Ya know we are twins and I for one am not a vampire but maybe I am. I do like hanging upside down." I say
"Just wake him up" Garrett says
We all plug our ears and Cody blows the air horn waking up Coby who ends up falling flat on to the mat.
"Hey cobes How was your nap" I ask crouching down to his level
"Beautiful till y'all woke me up" he whines
"Well Coby that's unfortunate" Tyler says
Chad ends the filming and I help Coby up.
"Alrighty well we don't have anything else that needs to be done today so you all can take off. We need to work on editing the stuff" Tim says
"Or you guys could do that at a different time and come hang out with us" Garrett says
"Depends. What are you doing" chad says
"Well first there's going to be twin vs editor battle then the winners choose where we're going for lunch" Cody says
"Why is it always me and Cory" Coby asks
"Yeah why it is always the twins" Tim asks
"Fine we can make you verse someone else" Tyler says
"Hold on what's the battle" chad asks
"You and Tim get to choose" Cody says
"Alright we choose frisbee golf" Tim says
"Against the twins" Chad says
"Didn't you play frisbee golf in college" Garrett asks
"Yeah He did. I did too" Tim said
"Twins you know how to play frisbee golf? Ever played before?" Cody asks
"Um I've read about it online" I say
"I've seen a few games at college" Coby says
"This should be interesting" Tyler says
We get everything set up and then the game starts. By the end Coby and I win and Tyler starts laughing.
"How long have you two been playing for" he asks
"High school" we say
"Wait but you two said you read about it online and seen a few games in college" Tim says
"Yeah. I read about it in like ninth grade before Coby and I joined the team" I say
"And we watched a few games. During college when we weren't able to play in them due to injuries from other sports" Coby says
"Tyler how could you tell they've played before" Chad asks
"They both eyed each other as they said it and then smiled afterwards. But the smiling could also just be because they were looking at each other" Tyler says
"What is that supposed to mean" Coby asks
"Oh come on we all know you two are dating" Cody says
"We knew it as soon as Cory ran to you when you were asleep hanging upside down. We saw the panic and it wasn't the panic of a brother. It was the panic between two who love each other." Tim says
"And you all are okay with this" I ask
"Of course. We knew you guys liked each other. We were waiting for you two to admit it to each other. Chad and Tim actually knew you two liked each other before we did. Apparently you four spend a lot of time together" Cody says
"Yeah because we help them edit videos because we know how to do that" Coby says
"Alright whatever enough arguing I'm ready for lunch. Where are we going twins" Chad asks
"You and Tim can decide. No barbecue and no seafood" I say
"What? No barbecue? I thought you twins love barbecue" Tim says
"We do but we also like variety" I say
"Fine. Let's just go and eat at chick-fil-a" chad says
"That works" Cody says
We all grab our stuff then go to our vehicles. I get in mine and head off following behind Cody.
*Coby POV*
We all head out to our cars and before I can drive away Tyler comes over. I get out of my car and we go sit on the sidewalk.
"What's up ty" I ask
"You okay" he asks
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I" I ask
"You have just seemed really out of it lately then today you are completely fine. I'm just making sure you are ok" he says
"Yeah. I think I'm finally clear minded. My parents are no longer around and that is sad but I know they are no longer in pain and suffering so I don't have to worry about them anymore. I'm no longer confused about my feelings either so I'm not thinking about that either. So I guess I finally felt like I was able to be happy. I finally allowed myself to be happy." I say
"Okay. I'm glad you're okay. Just remember if you don't want to talk to Cory about something you can always talk to me. At any time day or night. Now we better get going or your brother is gonna think something happened to you and he'll probably blame it on me since I'm not there yet either" Tyler says
"Yeah you're right. Let's go" I say
We get in our vehicles and head to lunch. We get there and go inside. Tyler sits next to Garrett and I sit next to Chad on an end.
"Thanks for not letting me sit next to Cory." I say
"Sorry Cobes. Cody insisted on sitting next to me and that you'd be fine sitting next to Chad" Cory says
I glare at Cody and he just smiles back. Let me tell you how the seating is set up. Tyler is at the head then Garrett, Chad, and me. On the other side it is Tim, Cory, and then Cody.
"We also ordered for you both. Still just waiting for the food" Cory says
And just after he says that the food is brought to the table. We start eating and continue with small talk. After lunch the guys were gonna hang out more but I didn't want to so I said bye and went to my car. I drove home and then started working on trying to find an item for cool not cool. Finally by dinner time I find one. I order it and then make myself some dinner. Once I'm done eating dinner I watch a movie then head to bed falling asleep quickly.
