Recap:
"Macy, I'm in love with you," he says slowly.
Back to the story.
I stare at him in disbelief and my mind suddenly wanders to Jesse. He was right...
"Why?," I ask. "Why me?"
"Why not you?," he answers. "You've been my bestfriend since forever. You're always there for me when I need you."
"How long have you liked me?"
"A month before I moved," he says. "I knew I loved you when you were always on my mind and everytime I thought about you my heart raced."
I smile faintly.
"That long?," I ask.
"Yeah, that long," he says. "Have you ever liked me though?"
"Uh, I did once," I admit. "A months after we met I really liked you; but, I didn't want to ruin our growing friendship. Two months after, I dated that one guy Kevin and got over you."
He gives me a sad expression.
"So, when I left you felt nothing?"
"No, no, no," I sat. "I was really sad cause I was going to miss you."
"But did you feel what I felt?," he asks.
I frown. "No, I didn't," I say. "I do love you Danny; just, not like that. Your my bestfriend."
"I'm tired of being your bestfriend!," he yells at me.
He stands up and turns to me. I sit there and stare up at him.
"Why don't you feel the same way?!," he asks angrily.
"I- I don't know," I say quietly. "I just d- don't."
"But why!," he screams.
I feel my eyes start to water as my tears built-up. He's never screamed at me like this, and I never thought he'd make me feel so scared.
"Because your my friend Danny," I say standing up. "I'm sorry but that's all I feel for you."
I move to go open my door but Danny grabs my wrist tightly. I wince in pain and look at him.
"Danny, please stop," I beg. "Your hurting me."
He doesn't move. I'm pulled to his body roughly.
"You are mine Macy," he whispers. "I've waited so long to have you, and no one else is taking you from me again. I tried to be nice about things but I'm done."
Tears start rolling down my cheeks and I stare at the ground to let them fall.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you!," he yells as he shakes me violently.
"I'm sorry!," I cry out.
I look into his eyes and frown. My Danny isn't there anymore; a monster is. He leans in but I move my face away from his lips. I feel my throat tighten and the air escapes my lungs. My eyes widen and I meet eyes Danny's again. I lift my left arm and scratch at his hand to make him release my neck; but he isn't fazed.
