Chapter 15

My heart immediately stopped. So many emotions were coursing through my veins at the very moment. I took a deep breath and tug on a smile that I know both Hunter, and Jesse aren't falling for.

"Uh, o-okay," I say. "Tell him to c-come up."

The two look at me but I just bite my lip nervously. With one last look, they leave and soon Danny walks in. His body was up straight and he looked angry. The urge to throw up was circling my stomach but I had to gulp it down. I turn on girlfriend mode to try and calm him.

"Baby, what's wrong?," I ask, vomit slowly flowing into my throat.

His facial expression doesn't change.

"Don't 'baby' me," he growls. "Why the hell is Jesse here?"

"Calm down," I say quietly. "He's here for Hunter."

"Sure he is," he says sarcastically. "Are you banging him behind my back?"

He grips my wrist and my neck. His hand squeezes both my wrist and neck, making me cry out in pain and gasp for air as he squeezes tighter.

"Now, don't you lie to me Macy," he says in a deep whisper. "Are you two hooking up behind my back?"

"N-no," I cough out; tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Why is he here then?," he asks again. "And why was he in here?"

"I- I already told y-you," I cry. "He's here f-for Hunter. And he was just telling me you were here."

He glares at me and then releases my wrist but not my neck.

"I believe you, for now," he says. "You are mine and I am not afraid to get rid of people that get in my way."

His fingers dig into my neck and I can slowly feel the air leave my lungs.

"I'm leaving," he says. "I will see you tomorrow. Walk me to the door?"

"S-sure," I say.

He leaves my room and I follow behind him slowly. Hunter and Jesse were sitting on the couch playing games when we got downstairs.

"Okay, I'll see you later babe," he says.

He reaches for my face and I flinch lightly. His eyes turn dark and I know I'm in trouble for it. His arms wrap around my waist and pull me close while he leans down to my lips and brushes against them. I feel his hands go lower and grab my butt.

"I'd watch how you act," he whispers.

He kisses my lips and I feel sick all over again. I pull away and he grins a fake grin at me.

"Bye," he says.

"Bye."

Danny opens the door and leaves without another word. I take a deep breath and relax my body.

"What just happened?," Hunter says.

I turn around and look at him and Jesse standing in front of me. Jesse's eyes were dark and he didn't look happy at all.
