HELENA

Now I know why curiosity kills the cat. I skipped the whole morning class hoping Sebastian would come find me in that state but that idiot didn't bother to show up.

Bumuba ako ng puno at pinagpagan ang damit ko. I can't believe myself that I'm actually looking for that guy. Maybe a part of me also wants to know something about this school.

If what he said earlier was true, then I have no choice but to stick my butt towards the end of school year. I can't possibly wonder around clueless.

Hindi pa ako nakakalayo ng may naramdaman akong mabigat na enerhiya. Hindi ko na kailangan pang lumingon upang malaman kung ano sila. Pagtingin ko sa direksyon ng Phantom, ang nanlilisik nitong mata ang sumalubong sa akin. Kagaya ng inaasahan, ang pangit talaga ng mga pagmumukha nila. Sa lahat ng oras na pwede silang magpakita, bakit ngayon pa? At bakit ako pa?

"Give me your soul," saad ng Phantom.

"Idiot. I don't have a soul," parang bobo naman 'tong kausap ko.

Napaatras ako ng bigla itong umatake sa akin. Damn! Nakalimutan ko na wala pala akong guard sa paligid. Dati sanay akong sila ang pumapatay sa mga ito, kaya hindi man lang ako nagdadala ng armas.

My abilities at the moment is only limited, if I run now maybe I could still save myself being eaten. Right! Good idea.

I attempted to run but I was shock to find out that I was rooted to my place. I couldn't move and I couldn't even shout for help. Bloody hell! If I knew I would die on my first day here, I should've just killed Sebastian earlier or at least told Dad about how his pink necktie didn't even suit him the least.

I hate how helpless my situation is right now. I guess even at the end, I still wouldn't know what fear feels like.

The phantom was an inch away from eating my soul when someone slash a large wound on it.

Jin appeared infront of me while holding the dagger. His dark brows  were actually graceful, but currently furrowed in a frown.

Sensing that it was in danger rather than the danger, the phantom run away. But it wasn't even a meter far from us when its body explode, turning into ashes and then dissolving into thin air. I was then freed from being immobilize.

"Are you okay?" Jin's voice is concerned. I study the balled fists at his sides, the furrow buried in his brow, the tension in his jaw. This same person who had annoyed me earlier was the same one who save me from being eaten.

"Yes, thank you," Of course I had to say thank you. I was about to face death earlier, it's the least I could do for him.

Walang anu-ano'y pinitik niya ako sa noo kaya napa aray ako, "Ano ba?!" inis kong saad habang hinihimas ang namumula kong noo. That was really painful, nakalimutan niya na ba na nakakaramdam parin ako ng physical pain?

"Idiot. Bakit di ka tumakbo kanina?" Aniya, "If I hadn't come you might have been dead by now."

I glared at him,"Have you seen me rooted to my place Mr. Genius?"

Bigla siyang na alarma sa sinabi ko. Nagulat ako ng marahas niyang sinuyod ng tingin ang buong paligid, tila may hinahanap siya at hindi ko alam kung ano yun.

"Hey!" Sigaw ko ng bigla niya akong hinila papaalis sa lugar nayun.

"No time for talking. Kailangan muna nating umalis dito," he said, his voice sounded serious unlike before. Kaya naman hinayaan ko nalang na hilain niya ako hanggang sa makalayo kami.
