"Envy can be blinding."

In the bunker we have a meeting every few months that calls all the classes together to talk about problems or concerns. Since we are considered 'evil' in some way, everyone decided it would be best to separate us on each side of the bunker. But recently, some classes have been sneaking into other classes' sections and stealing supplies.

Apparently we had some level headed people in here, but I, myself, said just to kill them. I guess that idea didn't go too well with the other classes.

There was a hum going on as everyone talked, generally keeping to their own class. There were a few that were brave enough to over step boundaries to talk to another class, but we all know we clash too much to be friends.

"You think we will have the final say?" Jax whispered beside me, glaring at the lions across from us. There was one man that stuck out from the rest, his violet eyes glinting as they locked with mine.

"You know the lions will never accept that." I scoff, tearing my eyes away from the man. I caught him smirk before I turned to directly talk to Jax.

Jax was my right hand man, almost as devious as me. Almost. He couldn't control his other sins as well as I could, which led to a lot of conflict with the social parties of course.

"They can shove their pride up their arse." He growled, making me snort. I rolled my eyes at his behavior, glancing over my shoulder to find the man still staring at me.

The lions biggest sin was their pride, fucking pricks that they were. Thought they were the best of the best, which they were mostly anyways. Insanely beautiful, agile, sly, and smart.

What more could you want? Except, they can't get their heads out of their ass. Their biggest flaw.

I raised my brow at him, making his smirk grow. The man turned his head to another man beside him and said something.

The man beside him had this weird vibe about him. I immediately noticed he was a snake when the man looked at me.

Snakes had all black eyes, no irises. They gave me the creeps. They were beautiful at first glance, but the more you stare, the more you notice.

Snakes biggest sin was envy. They were the least fortunate from the Reaping. The mutations consumes them and took over their entire body.

They give off an fake image to make you see what you want, but if you look hard enough you see the truth. Scales cover the majority of their skin and their faces were dismembered.

The originals, or the elite as many call them, were more fortunate. They were stronger, but they still suffered from some of the side effects.

The man's temples had scales lining them, scales peaking out from the collar of his shirt. This man was an elite, his marking said it and his face was mostly left untouched.

Realizing that I was staring, I quickly turned back to Jax. Not before seeing him smile at me, his razor teeth catching the light. Snakes also had venom in their blood, dangerous creatures.

"Who are they and why are they staring." I demanded, watching Jax give a stare down with the two males.

"The lion is a high ranking one, his name is Elliot. The other snake is an elite of course, Warden." Jax spoke lowly, scanning the room.
