"sometimes ignoring things is better, but what's the fun in that?"
"There's not a lot of evidence, just the fact that the supplies are gone." Saturn spoke, her eyes zoning in on me."Well, then, it sounds like we are at a crossroad." I blew out, crossing my arms as I began forward. Jax hid his smirk as he watched me, knowing I was up to something.
"No evidence goes nowhere, so I guess that's it." I explained, my voice lowering as if I was talking to a child.
"We can't just leave this be." Warden hissed, making me narrow my eyes at him.
"And why is that?" I asked, watching Warden begin to grow aggravated.
"Because a rule has been broken and those that break them should be punished!" A vein on his neck popped out as he grew frustrated.
A smirk stretched across my face, watching his skin ripple at my reaction.
"Rules? As far as I know, the only rules we have are in our own districts." I raised my voice, turning away from Warden to look at Saturn who was growing frustrated too.
"That doesn't mean we can turn a blind eye to this." Saturn reasoned, gripping onto the podium as her eyes flared.
I nodded to this, glancing back at Jax. He shook his head, realizing my motive.
"Fine, then let's just say I did it." Silence was met with my answer, shock showing on Saturn.
"You need a criminal to punish, go ahead, do it." I opened my arms, giving a brief glare over at Elliot who had a smirk stuck on his face.
"You can't just do that-" Warden began, his voice twisted as his skin began to crawl as he barely contained himself.
"I just did." I growled out, turning to meet his glare.
With a snarl, I'm flung back onto the concrete ground with Warden on top of me.
Pinned to the ground with his hand wrapped around my neck, I glare up at him as he hisses at me. His fangs elongate, ready to pierce my skin before he was flung off of me.
"Control yourself, Warden." Jax snarled, standing between me and him. Jax reaches a hand out, tugging me up and I got a good look at everyone in the room.
The air was tense as Saturn steps down from the podium, slowly making her way towards us.
Touching my tender neck, I keep my eyes on her as she stops in front of me and studied my face. We both know I didn't steal anything, our clan could care less about the shit that went on around us.
Glancing behind her, with a brief nod of her head, Sheldon reacted and quickly grabbed Warden.
"We've got our criminal." Saturn spoke, still studying me as Warden struggled in Sheldon's grip.
"What're you talking about, I didn't do it!" Warden yelled, making Sheldon wince.
"Oh, shut up Warden. We all know you did." Saturn snapped, turning her gaze away from me to Warden who was silenced.
"You can't control your envy and want people to suffer, typical of you." Saturn's voice hardened as Warden's face twisted. He snarled at her, showing off all of his sharpened teeth.
With a sigh, she shook her head and gave Sheldon a look.
"Take him away." With a wave of her hand, Sheldon began escorting Warden out.
"Nothing personal." I gave Warden a smirk as he passed me, which he snarled at.
As soon as he was out of the room, the air felt like it was lighter.
"Now that that's over, it's time to discuss the new-" Saturn began, but was silenced when the room began to shake and rocks began to crumble from the ceiling.
It was very brief, but it caused everyone to freeze where we were. This had never happened before, ever.
"What's happening?" Ezekiel asked, which he got shushed by Jax beside me.
A moment passed before we all relaxed, realizing it was just something momentary.
Just as we were about to begin again, the room shook violently as the walls begin to groan. My sight hollowed as screams and yells we're heard, barely recognizing that the ceiling had began to collapse.
Knocked off my feat, I was thrown back as the ceiling caved in and completely collapsed in a pile of rubble where I once stood.
The rumbling vanished as quickly as it came, a few stray pieces still falling away from the gaping hole in the ceiling.
Frozen at what I saw before me, I could barely breath as light began to spread over everyone in the room.
The gaping hole allowed light to leak in, burning our eyes as we all stared and waited for something to happen.
The groaning of metal was heard before a slam, a shadow casting itself on me.
"Holy hell." The man rasped from above, looking at all of us in horror.
Holy hell indeed.
