Blood Bound

prologue

Chaos. The world had collapsed and came a new hell, bringing nightmares to life and wreaking havoc across those that were still alive.

The year is 2115 and it's been nearly a century since the world ended. Many humans had died from the natural disasters and diseases that arose from the fiery pits of hell, but those that didn't fought to make their new world better.

Although, it was harder said than done. After the final wave of disasters, bodies had been piling up and diseases revenged the ruins of the cities. The last living humans escaped and seeked refuge in the forests when the dead started arising.

Many called it the Reaping, their loved ones that were dead came back to prey on those that were alive.

It was a fight for survival — a fight from death. Until, one day, a group of people stumbled upon an old research lab that had been abandoned for decades.

    These humans were very curious, their curiosity getting the best of them. They went into the lab and began learning things they shouldn't have known.

     As if the gods realized what had happened, another earthquake shook the earth in a violent wave.

    It came and went, a mere twenty seconds. But, in this time, it unleashed the monsters that had been trapped in their cages for decades.

    And, yes, curiosity did indeed kill the cat.
