       +Liam's POV+

Today is the day. The day of the BBQ. I had told my mom I was working so I could go. But hey, she believed it. Which is strange because she usually doesn't. But she had this strange look on her face. It was like she was trying to hide her evil smirk. I'm probably panicking over nothing. I shake my head and walk into their house.

"Hey man. Glad you could make it. What did the bitch say?" Randy asks as I walk in.

"I told her I was working and she actually believed me. But the scary part was she smirked." I explain, shaking my head. Randy looks at me with shock all over his face.

"Do you think she's planning something?"

"God, I hope not. Raleigh doesn't know anything about her." I tell him and as son as the words come out, I wish they didn't. I see Raleigh behind a corner, looking at me. Once she catches my eye, she walks over, pissed as hell.

"There something you want to tell me about another woman?" She asks and I shake my head. She can't know. I can't risk the information. If she knows what my mother does to me, she'll try to help me and that could cause her showing up at my mother's house. Which would definitely NOT end well.

"Don't worry about it." I tell her as I ty to walk by her but she pushes me back.

"'DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT'?! LISTEN HERE, MISTER! I AM YOUR GIRLFRIEND AND I HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT WOMEN YOU ARE TALKING TO AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM!" She yells at me.

"I promise you princess, there's no other woman that makes me feel the way you do. If you are worried about me choosing another over you, then you are dead wrong. I'll always choose you and only you. She's just...a family member that you don't need to know about." I assure her, taking her face in my hands.

"'A family member'?"

"Yes, she's a terrible woman and I don't want you to meet her. I'm going to keep you as far away from her as possible."

"Okay."

"Go see if Maya needs your help, I need to go talk to your brother." I tell her and she nods her head, walking to the kitchen.

"What do we need to talk about?" Randy asks.

"Tell Ethan, Cody and Ellie that we are having a meeting in your room." I tell him and he nods but stops.

"'Ellie'? What does she have to do with this?" Randy asks, completely confused.

"She plays a huge role in all of this. We need to get things figured out and we need her help to do that." I explain and he nods.

"She's with Emily in the guest room. Ethan and Cody are outside with my dad."

"I'll get Ellie, you get the boys?" I suggest and he nods his head.

"Meet back in my room?" Randy suggests and I nod my head in agreement. We start walking to where everyone is. I knock on the door and there's mumbling but I can't hear what they are saying. After a few minutes, Ellie opens the door. She's wearing a bathrobe and her hair is in a messy bun. She breathes a little heavy, like she just ran.

"Liam? Raleigh isn't here." Ellie says, shocked to see me.

"I know. I came to grab you. The boys and I are having a meeting about the situation." I tell her, hoping she understands what I'm talking about.

"Oh right! Yes, of course. Just let me get changed and then we can go." Ellie says and I nod my head. She closes the door and I wait. After a few minutes she walks out in black leggings (which I guess you could get away with the Denver weather) combat boots and a black leather jacket over a maroon crop top. Ellie's hair is now in a neat ponytail instead of all over the place.
