Goku x Frieza

Chapter 9

(Hello! Already with the next chapter     ^ - ^ . Once again, this may lead to spoilers in a way. Other than that, I hope you like this chapter. Also, I don't own the DragonBall Z franchise or characters this story is for fun. This chapter won't have much romance as it will mostly be about Cooler and their battle. Goku's p.o.v

The fire was flickering in a flowing rhythm as Goku sat down next to Frieza. They we're just having pleasant conversations, mostly just comfortable small talk. The fish was roasting as the two sat down on the soft green grass. "I've never seen any planet quite like earth." The ice jin spoke. As Frieza was marveling at the planet's beauty, the saiyan carefully patted his right pant's pocket to make sure the ring was safe in its velvet box. His heart was beating irregularly fast and his stomach tightened a bit. The more the ice jin spoke, the more nervous he got. I really hope this goes well, he thought. I wasn't this nervous when Chichi told me to propose to her, so why is giving this ring to Frieza so terrifying? He fret in his head, and also began questioning all actions that lead to this moment. "Hey, Goku?" Frieza questioned with a concerned face and waving a hand in front of his face to get his attention. The hero was constantly distracted, and it seemed to not go unnoticed. The flames of the fire shone onto the reflection of the ice jin's red eyes, causing a beautiful glow-like effect. Goku shook his head and apologized while chuckling awkwardly, "Sorry, heh! What were you saying?" Frieza continued to give him a concerned but also a suspicious look and questioned him, "You've been acting strange all day, are you feeling all right?" Goku's eyes widened as he replied with a small voice crack, "O-Oh yeah! I'm great, why?" Frieza gave him a look that clearly meant, really? He rested his jaw onto the palm of his hand and said, "Does this relate to the 'personal errand' you had earlier?" Goku then thought, uh oh, I might have to give him his gift a bit earlier than I thought. The saiyan awkwardly shoved his hand in the pocket where the ring box was and looked Frieza in the eyes timidly. The ice jin's face showed that he was just further confused. Goku then started to speak, "Frieza, I..I was wondering- ...I mean *ahem* I've been um... meaning to say-." The saiyan sighed. He was at a lost for words, so he tried his best to rephrase everything. Come on Goku you can do this, just tell him you love him and give him the ring. It's easy. He felt his forehead dampen a bit and he was able to hear his heart pound through his ears. Goku was trying his best from letting the ice jin hear his heart beat and said, "Oh hey! I think the food's done." Damnit! He cursed in his head. Now the tyrant was really suspicious of him, and just looked at him before grabbing the two skewed roasted fish pieces that were laid above the fire. Frieza handed one to Goku and sat back down on the ground next to him. However, he still eyed him not sure if he should be worried or annoyed at him. The hero took the skewed fish offered to him and said a 'thank you', but was still kind of freaking out. The saiyan just looked him back in the eyes, still not have eaten anything yet. This was one of the most rare events to ever occur, too. For the saiyan to not eat something food related from the moment he sees it is a unique sight. He focused back on the plan. This time, he fully intended on giving him the ring. Goku placed the skewed fish in his lap and had one hand securing the ring box in his pocket. He moved his other hand to hold Frieza's. The Hero's giant clammy hand enveloped the tyrant's smooth one. Goku took a moment ton admire his lover's features, hoping it might soothe him. The piercing but elegant red eyes, his soft skin, and much more. After a couple of deep breaths, the saiyan finally calmed down and spoke, "Frieza, you are one of the most important—"
WHOOOSH!!!   Both of the lovers looked up immediately. They felt several threatening presences surround them suddenly. There was probably about 6 of them. What now? The saiyan thought when his plan to give his gift failed again. He almost felt exhausted from the all the courage it took to muster enough confidence to talk to Frieza. To have it been for nothing was a little disheartening. Goku's eyebrows furrowed in annoyance as he scanned the area for the intruders' energy. Frieza's red eyes also were narrowed as they darted around the landscape. The saiyan stood up while he let his hand gently slip away from the ice jin's. There was a tense silence for a minute or two before the hero shouted, "Who are you guys, and why don't you come out already!" There was only a continued silence for a couple of seconds before several different species of aliens came out of hiding. A couple were near bushes, a few around the large rocks, and others were near tees. They all had similar dark blue uniforms with a strange symbol on them. Frieza seemed oddly quiet, and his face showed terror. The kind of terror he had seen in the ice jin's face when he first turned super saiyan. The familiar look of fear on his face made him feel a little guilty. One of the men with blonde hair and bluish skin exclaimed, "L-Lord Frieza's Alive?!?" The aliens were all surprised and murmured amongst each other. "Not only that, but he seems to have befriended the saiyan we thought killed him." The murmurs didn't cease until one of them spoke up, "We must report this information to Lord Cooler as quickly as possible." Goku's eyebrow raised as he asked, "Huh? Wait, what's a Lord Koolar?" Everyone seem to stop abruptly. Frieza eyes twitched once he said that as well, but he remained speechless. One of the men then snapped at him, "Don't you dare disrespect our lord!" One of the aliens that had long black hair butted in and with a scratchy voice said, "Lord Cooler is the strongest one in this entire galaxy." The hero, still puzzled, asked, "So if that's who 'cuuler' is, then who are you guys?" The men exchanged fiendish smirks with one another and walked into a single line together in front of them before striking overdramatic poses. They stood in the poses for a good minute. What are these clowns doing? Goku questioned in his mind. They all then said in a peculiar unison, "We are... Cooler's Armored Squadron!" One of the men who had a red scaly body stepped forward until he was a couple feet from Goku and Frieza. He asked looking back at the squadron, "Should we teach the Saiyan and the traitor Frieza a lesson?" The men all agreed and nodded before quickly charging at them. Goku and Frieza instantly flew upwards in different directions. Why must this happen now? Goku thought to himself from the frustration. The squadron then split up, some continued following him and the others chased after the ice jin. The men that Followed Goku started to attempt at tackling him, but he dodged all of their charges. They all were bewildered for a moment, but this didn't last long as each of them tried to throw punches and kicks while they were still in the air. The skilled Saiyan, however, blocked all of the assaults. I hope Frieza's doing okay, he thought as he continued blocking their sloppy punches. Goku then sent a powerful surge of energy and the men attacking him all fell to the ground. One of the attackers got back up and said, "Huh, you definitely know how to fight." The saiyan ignored the statement and prepared for their next move. All his attackers then got back up and started to hover above the ground again. The saiyan then sent several ki blasts at the attackers at once. But they all managed to block it. Goku charged at the alien with long dark hair and kicked him in the chest. "Ghh!" The alien quickly grabbed the saiyan even though he was in pain. "Quickly, punch him!" The intruder that was squeezing the life out of him shouted at one of his fellow allies. He felt the intruder crushing his ribs. Goku was gasping for air as the other was charging at him. But before the punch landed, the saiyan dodged it and the other alien instead attacked the one with long hair. "Puh! Don't punch me, you idiot!" He shouted and the other mumbled an apology. Goku carefully flew back down a bit, while the two argued. The blue one then shot a ki blast at his back while he tried to get away from the two. Goku quickly blocked it before any damage was caused. Then they all flew back to the ground. Before anyone could attack him again, he realized that the ice jin was also fighting these aliens. Even though they weren't the most skilled, with enough of them they'd be difficult to defeat. "Frieza!" Goku shouted, concerned about the other's condition. His head turned to find the ice jin. "No need to worry, I'm just fine." Frieza replied from the other side of the river away from the camp. He knew what Goku was thinking. The tyrant had a scratch mark on his face, but other than was completely fine. The aliens attacking them were clearly not strong enough to defeat both of them.
The Hero gave Frieza a reassuring smile, despite the situation. The tyrant also returned the grin. However, Frieza seemed to instantly freeze in fear and his smile disappeared as he looked at something or someone behind the Hero. All of the intruders also had a surprised expression. One of them said, "L-Lord Cooler we didn't expect you to come here so quickly." Oh, its the Cooler dude, he must be really strong to scare Frieza this much, he thought as he turned to face Cooler. Goku was then stunned, an immense power could be felt from the Lord. He had a vibrant purple skin, and had certain features that were similar to Frieza's such as red eyes and the white bio armor. The lord also had a taller stature than Frieza, however. He had a deep laugh as he spoke, "Hahaha, I had believed that you've died little brother at the hands of a saiyan, but this is far much worse." Goku's jaw practically dropped. "Wait, you guys are brothers?" The saiyan was confused by the sudden news. He looked over to see Frieza's reaction. His ex-enemy had a little sweat drop down the side of his face with furious and fearful eyes. Cooler then ignored Goku's question and continued to to speak directly to Frieza. "Yes, while dying from the hands of a mindless ape is bad, becoming allies with one is one of the highest treasons you could commit." The Lord continued to take strong steps towards Frieza and was about to walk past Goku. The Hero was quiet, and was starting to get more serious. The saiyan grabbed his arm, and the Lord stopped instantly. "I'm not gonna let you hurt him." Goku stared into the cold red eyes. Cooler closely observed the Hero's expression and leered at him with amusement. He brushed off the tight grip on his limb as if swatting away a fly. The saiyan couldn't help but think how unsettling the other's strength was. The lord gave him a malicious stare and said, "Stay out of our family matters." The saiyan couldn't move for some reason, almost trembling at the booming voice. The violet ice jin sent a beam from his finger that shot into the saiyan's stomach area, and caused him to hunch over him pain and coughed out blood. The Lord then faced Frieza. He had a vicious smile while asking, "Well Frieza, what have you been doing all this time." He didn't answer and was glaring at his older brother. Cooler then swiftly appeared in front of Frieza and put him in a chokehold. His hand squeezed tightly around his brother's neck. Frieza let out an unexpected pained grunt, "Ghhh!?" The ice jin's eyes watered a bit from the lack of oxygen. The lord proceeded to say, "Now now, you didn't even say hello and yet you also betray your family? Tsk tsk." The saiyan, with his blood staining his gi uniform, quickly teleported behind Cooler and kicked directly at his back. The Lord didn't seem to be that affected by it, but it was enough force to cause him to drop Frieza. He coughed several times for air and looked back at his brother with hatred. Cooler then said under his breath, "Lousy monkey." Goku and Cooler faced each other, prepared to fight. The saiyan had a look of worry towards Frieza. Cooler's men were watching over the younger ice jin, probably making sure that nothing kills him before Cooler does. "I can tell right away that you aren't one to be underestimated." The older ice jin spoke in a relaxed voice. Goku didn't answer, and instead began to have his power surge. Cooler seemed displeased by this, and was about to speak again but the saiyan dashed up to him and punched him several times in the chest. Goku then side kicked him causing the other to fly back from the impact. They found themselves fighting now near more forests and mountains. The Hero chased after him and attempted to throw another punch but Cooler caught both arms. His red eyes giving an angered stare towards the dark ones. "I'm sure that you somehow tricked that little pest into trusting you," he continued, "But no matter, I'll be sure to make you pay for your doings and my brother for being a nuisance." He suddenly sent a ki blast towards Goku. Not expecting this, the saiyan was barely able to dodge the attack.
Cooler spoke again, "But, you should feel privileged. As you will be the first to see the fourth transformation of mine." Goku had a small gasp at this. The ice jin's power increased incredibly, as his muscles clearly grew stronger. His head formed more horn-like features and his entire eyes flowed red. He also seemed to grow in height. He then yelled in a much more deep voice, "Yes...Time to die!" Then a piece of armor covered his mouth like a mask. He flew at Goku and was ready to charge at him, but the saiyan teleported higher in the sky. "Phew that was c-" his words were cut off as the transformed ice jin launched him back down to the grounds. "Tchh!" Goku spat as he laid on the ground. Why can't I beat him? He wondered. I might need to become super saiyan again, he thought. This seemed like the only option to save him and Frieza from Cooler. The saiyan stood back up and was preparing for his own transformation. Goku felt his energy increase and his hair became golden. Much more power now surrounded his entire body.
