The stars were bright and stood out like white paint splattered against the black background. They shone bright every night. Constellations as clear as they could be.

The fox jumped around from star to star, leaving a faded grey-like brush streak or an almost transparent shooting star trail behind him. His dark body flickered looking like a quick stop motion clip as he moved around before halting and standing still atop the moon, observing his world. As he looked around his black eyes began to fill with the stars around him, admiring everything, how he felt so free, so happy, so loved. He closed his eyes and held them shut for a minute or so. When he opened them, they were as bright and full as the moon, as if he held all those bright balls of gas he saw within them.

Letting out a melodic howl, he wiggled his tail and jumped off again. The sky as his playground and his home.
