Food and relaxation (chapter 3)

EJ's pov

I was in the kitchen when she walked in she didn't notice me yet so I said "hey, you ok?" She was slightly startled but responded "yea I'm good....,you?" I didn't know what to say other than "yea I'm good" she asked me "hey what do you guys have to eat here?, I haven't eaten in a few days.. Like 5 days" so I said "oh well..ummm.. We have some stuff to make sandwiches.,I could make you a few." She agreed so I asked her a few more things "what kind of sandwich do you like?" She said simply "I like peanut butter and jelly." So I tried to keep the conversation going "so how old are you?" She perked up, I think she realized I just wanted some simple conversation. "I'm 18!" She smiled I don't know what I felt then but I knew it was good. "Cool!,so am I! Do you play videogames?" I didn't expect what happened next "do I play video games?! YEA I do!!" She smiled and paused then continued "I play almost everything aslong as it's on X-box!, I play skyrim, assassins creed, minecraft, soul calibur4 and 5, bio shock 1 and 2, some halo and call of duty....you?" I just stood there and gawked as she talked and I responded "yea.... I play a lot of some of those." Then she said "but when an X-box isn't around I like the big old arcade games like pac man, galaga, frogger, and snake!" I was so surprised at how much she wasn't girly even though she looked girly! "I-uh-wow." She giggled. I was at a loss for words so I continued making her sandwiches when I was done I said "your food is ready ma'am." She giggled and mocked me with "why thank you kind sir." She sat on the counter and started eating her sandwiches. I went to the fridge and grabbed a soda. I turned around and all 3 of her sandwiches were gone! I said "dang!, homegirl can eat!" I put my hand up for a hi-5 and she returned the favor. She said "like I said I haven't eaten for 5 days" she smiled weakly I gave a huge smile back. We walked out to the living room sat down and played some soul calibur 5.
