Tick tick tick... (Chapter 7)

Ej's pov

When I finally woke up today I went out and there was a new guy I didn't know him but he seemed nice enough so I shuffled over to him in my long pj bottoms and black tee shirt. I stuck my hand out and said "hey I'm EJ." He flinched a little but calmed and took my hand and firmly and said "I'm Ticci Toby." I couldn't tell if he smiled because he had some yellow tinted goggles on and a grated metal face mask. He also wore a brownish sweater with a grey hood on it, covering most of his brown wavy/straight hair, the sleeves were striped too and he wore some old jeans and some worn out DCs. And then she came in. Shignami came in and he dropped my hand and stared at her. He looked at a loss for words she walked over and she slid her mask over to the side so that it was on the side of her head I studied her face because the only other time I've seen it was her becoming. She had light freckles and she had slightly plump cheeks and a sharp chin line. She smiled and said "hi!, I'm death day but everyone here calls me shignami." He shook her hand and stuttered the same phrase he said to me "I-I'm T-Ticci To-Toby." She smiled again and said "nice to meet you!" He chuckled slightly she tilted her head and said "why is that funny?" He glanced up and mumbled " because none has ever said that to me - that it was nice to meet me." He twitched well he has been this whole time but now I notice it more and more. She replied "well it is nice to meet you!" He perked up and said "well thanks it was nice meeting you too!" And they walked off together and were talking I couldn't tell what they were saying though. I shuffled into the kitchen and got som cereal slendy walked in and said "mornin EJ." I waved hello because my mouth was full of cereal. He asked me a question that caught me off guard "when was the last time you killed?" I swallowed hard on my cereal "about 5 or 6 days, why?" He said next "so you haven't killed since she got here? Right?" I nodded he looked sternly at me and said "you know you need to kill and she dose too you should bring her out on her first official kill as a proxy." I sighed and agreed and said "fine- I'll go find her." He nodded and sat down. I shuffled out to find her.
