Ticci Toby's POV

As I shignami and I walked off from EJ we started to talk about random small things like where we were from or what kind of ice cream we liked. But as soon as she said "so how did you become a proxy?" I froze I knew it was an innocent question and I had no idea I always reacted this way but we were outside and under a big oak tree. She touched my shoulder gently and kindly almost lovingly, but it snapped me out of what ever state I was in I looked in her eyes she had not put her mask back on since I had meet her and she was beautiful. She spoke softly "Toby? Are you okay? Was it something I said?" I shook my head trying to clear it and said "yea sorta, I just really don't like talking about my past." She nodded and said "it's okay if you don't wana talk about it you don't have to." I responded "yea I'd rather not talk about it." I scratched the back of my head and leaned back on the tree. She asked me "can you take your hood off please?..... I wana see your hair." She smiled sheepishly and she reddened I felt my cheeks heat and I agreed reluctantly and pulled my hood back and her eyes widened and she smiled and asked "can I touch it?" So I said "okay....... Just don't pull on it, ok?" She nodded and gently touched my head and her eyes lit up I giggled and she did to as she started to play with it and twirl it around her finger. When she had finished she smoothed my hair back around. As EJ came over he was dressed now as I had thought he would in a black hoodie and some dark jeans. He coughed awkwardly and said "sorry to interrupt your little hair salon but I need to borrow shignami." He chuckled and I realized the first part of his statement was a joke. I laughed and said "it's no bother to me." She stood up and asked "what's goin on?" He nodded towards the woods and said "huntin time." She nodded and said "okay, I'll go grab my knives." And started off towards the house and as she walked off she pulled her mask back on and I watched the sway of her hips and smiled as I pushed my hood back on. I sighed as she walked away and once she was out of earshot he said "wow man you love her don't you?" I flushed and snapped "yea, what's it to ya?!" I was shocked with my own words but he could tell I was flustered, and responded playfully "yea, well get in line" I evened my tone and asked "what?" He just laughed at me and replied "well there's you, me and Jeff, don't forget Ben." I just stared blankly at him, I had no idea what to say, so all I said was "oh." He walked off chuckling and mumbling to himself.
