Lysenko plasm
Hannah lives with her mother who is a widower. Her father died from a disease called polloniane viruses which is a virus only spread through the touch of Lysenko plasma .The virus was spread from a mine which had approximately 20-50 working men, those men dug Lysenko plasma for electricity. Lysenko plasma is a contaminated goo which kept the electricity running in the town. It was illegalized in every country and state ever since the men (including Hanna's father) working in the mine started to die gradually. The side affects that each worker had were loss of hair,skin peeling, nausea, internal bleeding in the organs, hives, rashes, headaches,and dehydration. Scientists started to test the contaminated goo on stray dogs that were found on the sidewalk. After testing the goo they had no reactions from the dogs they did x-rays,blood tests,etc.They found nothing. The scientist thought that the goo wasn't the problem maybe it was one of the workers who possibly got the virus. Since all the workers already died they left the unexpected deaths go. Because the goo was ilagalized and the town of Kellington was the only town who had the Lysenko, no one wanted to trade or buy anything from the town which made the town broke. The mayor was frusterated and annoyed that he had so much money converted into the Lysenko plasm now he has no money for the town.
