Y/n flopped onto her bed exhausted. Peter had left a few minutes ago making sure y/n was ok.
Her dad kept telling him she would be fine and that he was a doctor but Peter still wanted to be sure. Her dad told her she couldn't go to school this week because she needed to get better so her and Peter just decided to tell everyone her grandma died.
It was 8ish and y/n was ready to go to sleep. Her phone buzzed and when she picked it up she saw Ned had made a group chat with her, Peter, and Mj.

Ned:Any ideas for Costumes?
Mj has named conversation to 'my witches'
Y/n:did you just do what I think you did?
Mj: yep.
Mj has left the conversation.
Peter: How dare she
Y/n has added Mj.
Mj: WHY AM I STILL HERE
Ned: because we need to come up with a costume idea.
Mj:Ugh fine
Peter: what about Star Wars?
Mj:eh
Peter: eh?
Peter: How dare you Star Wars is art
Ned: we can decide tomorrow at lunch
Y/n: I won't be at school for a few days. My grandma died.

Ned: oh my god I'm so sorry
Mj: why do people apologize to someone when someone they knew died? What do they have to apologize? Unless they did it
Peter:just...no
Y/n: thanks I guess?
Ned: does anyone have any ideas for costumes?
Y/n:no
Peter: no
Mj:no
Ned:you guys are useless.

The rest of the week went by slowly. Y/n would sit in her room watching Netflix. Peter would come after school and they would watch supernatural.
When Monday finally came y/n was a lot better. School was normal. At lunch the group was brainstorming for ideas.
"I got it!" Peter said excitedly.
"What?" The others asked in unison.
"Mario."
"I'll be Luigi!" Y/n said excitedly.
"Can I be bowser?" Ned asked.
"I want to be waluigi if y/n's being Luigi." Mj said.
"Whoah I think we found it guys." Peter said smiling.
In the end Ned was bowser after begging to be him, Mj was Luigi and since y/n and Peter were a couple Peter would be Mario and y/n would be princess peach.
After school y/n and Peter hung out at Peters apartment.
They mainly watched Netflix and ate snacks. After that they started looking at ideas for their costumes.
"I'm probably gonna wind up buying a costume from party city." Y/n said after finding a $1,000 princess peach cosplay dress.
"Yeah me too." Peter said.
"Neds probably going to have a really cool costume knowing him." Peter sighed.
"Yeah." Y/n agreed.
Both of their phones buzzed. It was from the group chat.
