Chapter 9-Minus Two Over Tragedy

Narrator: Everyone was bored just sitting around so they all played on their phones. Brodey was so fucking done with being alive that he called the suicide hotline 1-800-273-8255 to see if he could ever get better.

Brodey: Can you all put your headphones on? I need to make a private phone call.

Nathan: Sure

Narrator: Everyone did what he asked, even Elliott. Elliott wanted to still her Brodey's phone call so he didn't listen to anything. Brodey had his phone on speaker so Elliott was thankfully able to her everything.

Suicide Hotline: Suicide Hotline what's your emergency?

Brodey: I've been thinking about ending my life for a while now. I don't want to make my friends and family by ending my life but I've been waiting to. There's a storm going on outside and I've been thinking about going into it because it has killed so many people.

Suicide Hotline: Try to be positive and have a good day.

Narrator: They hung up quickly and Brodey told everyone they could unplug their headphones. They didn't really help him too much. He started crying. Only Kath, Elliott and Nathan were paying attention because the others had their headphones on.

Nathan: Brodey? What's going on?

Brodey: I can't do this anymore Nathan. I seriously can't. I've been lying to all of you. I haven't been doing okay. I've gotten worst. I was on the phone with the suicide hotline.

Elliott: I know.

Brodey: What do you mean?

Elliott: I've been worried about you Bazz. I've been through it.

Kath: Me too.

Nathan: We all have.

Brodey: What do you mean?

Narrator: Kath, Elliott, and Nathan showed Brodey the scars. He had tears in his eyes.

Nathan: We may act happy on camera, but no one knows what we all have truly been through. We don't want you to think about killing yourself. We all have, Elliott has, I know for sure Kath has, I have before. We'll help you.

Kath: Remember back in 2017?? Everything that happened? Everything I thought? About jumping off Elliott's balcony and killing myself? (that was a real thing she thought about doing in that year) But I didn't. I kept moving. Now you need to do the same.

Elliott: I remember that. You may want to block everyone out but the truth is, you need the people who love you the most. We all want to be there for you Brodey. We all love you. Just keep going and everything will get better. We all promise. We all went through that time. Maybe and different ages but we all know what it feels like. Lannan's went through it and I helped him. He got better. We all have a time in our lives where we don't wanna be here. We think no one loves us. But that is never true. People love you, you just need to find those people. Even the most positive people can be sad, but they get through it. Everyone does. We may not even have a reason to be sad we just are, and that's okay.

Nathan: We're all there for you Bazz. Remember Paris??

Brodey: *smirks* We are not talking about Paris.

Narrator: Everyone laughed and talked for a little bit longer before going to bed. Brodey woke up again at 3 am.

Brodey: *thoughts* Everything they said earlier was so nice, but it could only last for so long. I could never get out of this mess. What are they thinking? I'm getting out of here tonight. I'm done.

Narrator: Everyone had a suit that they would wear in case they needed to go out, but Brodey didn't put his on. He got soaking wet and swallowed so much and got cut up but things flying at him that when he got to a safe spot he hung himself. When he died the rope came off and laid next to him on the ground. He never told anyone he was leaving or left a note. Brodey got out through the only window. Elliott woke up and realized that Brodey wasn't there and woke up Nathan after he got his suit on.

Elliott: Cray! Nathan! Get up!

Nathan: What is it?!

Elliott: Bazz is gone!

Nathan: Oh SHIT!!

Elliott: I'm going out to find him.

Nathan: NO!! Elliott you can't! You could die!

Elliott: I need to! I'd die for my friends!

Narrator: Elliott jumped out of the window and went to go look for Bazza. He was getting so much water in his lungs. When he was able to see Brodey he was feeling weak. When he got there he took a few photos on his phone that was in a waterproof case. A huge wave of water came and completely covered Elliott causing for him to drown.  At 8:30 am Kath woke up and notice Elliott and Brodey weren't there so she decided to wake up Grace and Ilsa since they were his sisters.

Kath: Grace! Ilsa! Get up!!! Now!

Ilsa: Kath! What is it?!

Kath: Brodey and Elliott aren't here!

Grace: Let's go out and find them!

Narrator: Kath, Ilsa, and Grace all got their suits on and went out. It wasn't long before they found them. They all started crying and checked their pulse. Nothing from both. They died. Kath and Grace carried Elliott and Brodey back and Ilsa was trying to get everyone up by calling Lannan but he never picked up. When they all got there they left Elliott's and Brodey's dead bodies outside and jumped through the window soaking wet.

Ilsa: Everyone get up!

Narrator: Everyone was quickly alarmed and got up. They all noticed that Elliott and Brodey were gone.

Lannan: Kath?! Grace?! ILSA!?!! Where is Elliott and Brodey?!

Kath: That's the thing...

Lachlan: What happened to them?!

Narrator: They all started crying and grabbed the dead bodies to show them. They also showed them the rope that was next to Brodey and the photos on Elliott's phone. Nathan burst into tears at the thought of losing his best friend. Tannar tried to comfort him since they were dating. They never told anyone but everyone just guessed it. Grace and Lachlan were comforting each other. Kath and Marcus were comforting each other. Lannan and Ilsa were comforting each other and Liv was with Kath and Marcus since her boyfriend died. Everyone was very upset and crying. Nathan was crying the most for Brodey since they have known each other for so long.

Rest In Peace Elliott Watkins and Brodey De Meur.

This was the most depressing chapter I have ever wrote in my life. I was crying while listening to The Diary of Jane by Breaking Bejamin. Sorry for Elliott and Bazz. I feel like I need to make it clear that Brodey was Kath's BROTHER not her cousin. I kept changing it so sorry about that. This chapter took me 3 hours to writing lol.
