Chapter 7- If I Killed Someone For You

Narrator: Brodey wanted to die so bad that he cut himself so much that he passed out from loss of blood. He was so in love with Samantha and she promised him to help with the cutting himself but instead, he was going to keep on cutting. Kath was so upset and Marcus tried to comfort her but after a few minutes, he started to cry. It was the first time she saw him cry.

Kath: It'll be okay baby.

Marcus: He's your brother Kath. He's been to the hospital for this before. What if he goes again?

Kath: That's the thing, he won't.

Marcus: Okay baby.

Narrator: Kath and Marcus were super worried about Brodey. They hung out together for the rest of the night. Nathan was crying in his room and didn't let anyone in. They were best friends and Nathan seeing Brodey so upset made him upset too. The next day they all went to go visit Brodey and he was doing better. When they got there he was on the phone with someone. He looked upset and the doctors said that he was passed out of the whole night and woke up a few minutes ago.

Brodey: Why did you leave me like that? You had Kath and everyone else only and a few years before me and then you gave me up. I just don't get it. I know that I'm different then everyone else but everyone is different and I guess you just can't understand that. You even changed my last name and made me moved all the fucking way across Australia hoping that me and Kath would never cross paths but look where I fucking am now. I'm living in the same house as her and all of my friends! I never fucking needed you. Look where I fucking got without you! I don't even see why you keep trying to get a relationship with me after all that! Do you even realize that I only had a 5% chance of living and I am still in the hospital. I gotta find another way to get more blood to live. You're a fucking asshole and I'm done talking to you! Never call me again! 

Narrator: After Brodey was done with the call Nathan ran up o Brodey and gave him the biggest hug of his life.

Nathan: Brodey! You're okay!

Brodey: Thank fucking god!

Elliott: I'm so happy!

Marcus: Me too!

Lannan: That was so scary!

Narrator: Everyone was next to Brodey saying how happy they were that he was alive but Kath was so confused. She was upset that she was brought into the mess and was a part of it all. It was hard for the both of them, and she knew that but it was hard to believe that he said those things to his mother. She also thought that she kind of deserved it. She was upset that he only had a 5% chance of living and that he needed more blood. Kath went up to the doctors and started talking to them.

Kath: Can I give him some of the blood that he needs?

Doctor: Are you sure? It is a risky process.

Kath: Yes. I will do anything to save my brother.

Doctor: Okay then. Follow me.

Kath: Can I talk to my boyfriend for a second before we start?

Doctor: Of course.

Narrator: Kath went over to Marcus and pulled him aside.

Marcus: What's going on baby?

Kath: I won't be in the room for a while. Can you keep an eye on everyone?

Marcus: What are you doing?

Kath: I don't want to worry you so I'm not telling but I'll be in the room next door.

Marcus: Okay sure.

Kath: Thanks baby.

Marcus: No problem.

Narrator: Kath followed the doctors over to the room next door from Brodey's room. She laid down and the doctors started talking to her.

Doctor: This is going to hurt a lot so are you positive that you wanna do this?

Kath: Why is it going to hurt a lot?

Doctor: Because we need more than we would take if we are just testing.

Kath: Okay then and yes I'm positive.

Narrator: The doctors got all of the equipment and put a syringe in a vein in her arm. It hurt but not a lot. When they started taking it she screamed at the top of her lungs. Marcus got scared when he heard the scream and came in. He held her hand. Everyone in Brodey's room had no idea where the scream came from and when they saw Marcus run out they got nervous. They also realized that Kath wasn't there.  About a few minutes later Kath was done. They gave her and bandaid and some ice because it started swelling. They walked back in and they all went silent. A few minutes later the doctors came in.

Doctor: We got the blood that you need Brodey.

Brodey: Who did you get it from?

Narrator: The room went silent again. Kath decided to speak up and she talked like she was in pain but it was quiet and everyone was still able to hear her.

Kath: Where do you think I was?

Brodey: Kath- I-I can't. This is too much.

Kath: Brodey, I care for you a lot. More than anyone. You've done so much for me. I need you. I'll help you. I promise you.

Brodey: Okay.

Narrator: He got the blood and he thanked Kath for hours on the way home. When they all got home they fell asleep on the couch while watching a movie.

I know it is not 1,000 words but it is close with a little over 900. I know that the title of the chapter is a title of a song but whatever.
