SPENCER JADE (shocker)
THE DOLAN RESIDENCE

It's been two and a half months since I've been back. Two and a half months and I haven't left my house up until this point.

Both my mom and dad thought it would be good if I ventured out again. By venturing out, they mean letting me go to Ethan's house to stay the night.

It wasn't out of my comfort zone but it wasn't home. I was making progress, it was small, but it was still progress. One step at a time.

I was in Ethan's car, staring outside the window. I was excited to see Grayson, I hadn't seen him since I've been back. He wanted to make sure it was my decision to see him instead of 'coming into my space' as he likes to call it.

"You doing okay?" Ethan's voice sounded, taking me away from my thoughts.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm actually kind of excited." I said, peering over at Ethan. He almost looked concerned, which made me smile at how adorable he was for caring so much.

"Grayson is excited too, he misses you. When he called me the night you came home he was almost screaming." He snickered a bit, shaking his head slightly.

"You cried." I teased, nudging his arm a bit with a small smile on my face.
"Well when your best friend comes home after a year and a half... that you looked for until they were presumed dead... yeah, I'll cry." He dryly chuckled, nudging my arm back.

Knowing how hard Ethan tried to find me, how he never lost hope and how much he missed me, tore my heart into pieces. I didn't want to imagine how much he hurt. He always told me to never focus on how he felt because what I went through was far more worse than humanly possible, but I couldn't help it. The way he described how he felt. the way he hugged me when I came home. The way he didn't want to let me go.

Ethan must've been a mess.

But in my haze of my distraction, I wasn't paying attention to how close we were, and soon enough we were parked in their driveway.

"You ready? We can sit a few minutes if you're n-" I cut Ethan off by getting out of the car excitedly. I must've looked like a 5 year old arriving at a candy shop.

"Oh, okay.. never mind, let's go in then." Ethan lead me to his front door, jiggling his keys to get them through the front door.

"If anything gets too much for you, just tell me and I'll take you home. I don't want you to push yourself to do something you're not comfortable with." Ethan said sweetly.

He was almost too sweet. He cared so much about how I felt about everything. He was so good to me.

"Thank you, but I'll be okay." I gave him a sweet smile, letting him know I was truly okay.

He nodded before opening the door, revealing his beautiful house.
"Woah." I stepped in the house in complete and utter awe. I couldn't believe him and Grayson managed to get a house like this. I mean, where'd they get this type of money from?

"You can look around, make yourself at home." Ethan spoke as he shut the door behind us. Immediately, I followed his word and began looking around.

The living room was shockingly clean, considering both boys were pretty messy. It was all incredibly well put together. Picture frames and paintings hung up on the wall perfectly, stunning furniture. Damn, these boys really had their shit together.

But the picture frames caught my eye, mostly because one has roses all around it. I stepped forward to it, observing it was a picture of me when Ethan and Grayson took me camping. I had a very wide smile on my face and my nose was scrunched. That was always Ethan's favorite picture of me. Every time I felt down about myself, he'd send that picture to me and explain to me how I was beautiful.
