And learning more about these turtles and aliens will make things even more exciting; if you didn't get caught, that was.

Maybe I'm digging a little bit too deep...
At the library...
You've been looking through books about the history of New York City for a couple of hours now. But nothing, zip, zilch, nada! The books you found were old with a weird texture, the pages were cockled because of old age, and the words were barely legible. You were surprised that they had books this old still in the library but tried not to overthink it. You weren't going to question the books considering your luck. But now you were sure that you jinxed yourself; you realized you couldn't read a damn thing.
You were starting to feel like giving up, disappointed, and feeling silly that you thought you could find anything about real-life aliens in a public library. That was until you found a book about ancient Egypt. The cover gave you some weird feeling deep in your chest, so you opened it. You were cautious of the cockled pages but saw that the book was about Egyptians. Go figure. But, as you kept flipping pages, you came across what looked like the weird brain blob things but wearing similar Pharaoh garb. Your eyes widen in disbelief and victory. You found something, the exact something you were looking for! Then your brows furrow in surprise and contemplation as you read the following page, discovering that these aliens have been on this earth for over 5000 years!
Why have they been here so long? And why has no one noticed?!
You decide to check out the book with juicy information and take it home. Walking out of the library to the outside, you realized it was already nighttime. You sweat nervously and mutter a curse under your breath. You weren't supposed to stay out that long; you knew you should have put an alarm on your phone to remind you to leave. But you underestimated yourself. You sigh in defeat and slump, accepting that you would be killed when you entered your home by your parents. Out of love, of course, but killed nonetheless. You hurry home as fast as your body can go, holding onto your backpack straps so it wouldn't fall as you run. You were too busy focused on running home that you overlooked being followed by a suspicious white van. Without your knowledge, the van speeds up ahead of you, and just before you can cross an empty street, it stops in front of you.
Your eyes widen at the sudden obstacle in your path, and you skid to a stop. You look at the van questionably and with a good amount of suspicion. Why would a van just stop in the middle of an intersection like that? You look around for oncoming traffic and blink. Oh. Because there is no oncoming traffic. There weren't many people around for a city with millions of people. Which you thought was odd, and for a good reason too, because the van's back doors reveal some familiar identical-looking men.
