Third Person P.O.V

"Parker." Even though Mr. Harrington said Peter's last name very softly, he still expected a response. He said his name again, "Parker." This time it was more stern, much more anger and bass in the tone of his voice. There was still no reply on the other end, except for a few indecipherable murmurs and snores. Finally, Mr. Harrington lost it, "PETER PARKER! WAKE UP!" This exclamation caused Peter to lunge out of his chair, out of fright, as he jumped 5 feet into the air out of the chair. He landed on the floor, all his books and papers falling on top of him, as the entire class was either laughing at him or in shock that he just flew into the air like that. Flash was taking pictures of him in this discombobulated state to post all over social media, Ned was trying not to laugh while also helping him pick his stuff up, but Michelle was inquisitive. She wasn't just going to ignore that whole leap he just did, so effortlessly, regardless of being awoken out of sleep or not.

"Peter, get up. Stay after the bell, I'll give you a pass to your next class. We need to talk." Those 4 words, "We need to talk" are the worst possible words for Peter to hear, as he's heard that at least 5 times this week from all his teachers. Peter got up, sat back down in his chair, and sulked into the bind of his Chemistry Textbook as the last 10 minutes of the class went by. When the bell rang, he packed up his things slowly, into his newest backpack he just got this morning. This also just so happened to be his 4th new backpack this week, and it was only Wednesday. He stayed behind like he was told, knowing the incoming words. He expected to be told that his intellect was uncanny and that he isn't living up to his potential, also that he's putting himself in a bad situation, blah blah blah. He's heard this from all his other classes, whether it was from sneaking out of school, skipping class, or falling asleep in class.

It all rooted from one thing: His responsibilities as Spider-Man. Peter listened to the same speech all his teachers have told him recently and in the past, but at the same time, they've kinda slacked on yelling at him, especially due to the events that occurred due to the Snap. "Peter, I was gone for those 5 years too, a lot happened during that time, but this isn't a time to sleep, this is a time to learn. As hard as the events and the toll they have on you are, you have a responsibility as a student, to help guide and provide for the people on this confused planet in a very confusing time. I expect a lot from you, as you are one of our leading students in this school. Try and keep your head up okay? That's all." Peter did not expect this somewhat positive lecture, as he was expecting just the basic "You're wasting your talents" shpeal, but he knew all too well the events of the snap, and especially the final endgame battle. He knew all too well.

He walked out with the pass in hand, turned right out the door, and immediately bumped into Michelle. Ah, Michelle Jones, Peter's crush since Kindergarten. She had her ear to the wall, as she was listening in to the whole conversation. "Hey loser, what'd you mess up this time?" she asked Peter, although she already knew the whole deal after eavesdropping. "Oh, I..I.. uh... nothing! I was just sleeping that's all, so Mr. Harrington wanted to talk to me about it." She rose her right eyebrow out of suspicion. Peter had an uncomfortable, but quirky smile on his face, as he slowly backed up to walk to his next class that he was 5 minutes late for. Michelle had a slight blush that she tried to hide until Peter turned around and walked away. She has always found Peter attractive, but she would never let him see that gushy side of her. She also, after seeing his sudden maturity after that 9th grade trip to the Oscorp building, begun to develop a crush on him. He had gotten taller, from what she could tell when she "observed" him, not staring at him of course. He was very muscular with a solid frame. He stopped wearing his huge circular glasses, but he was never seen wearing contacts, as she gazed into his eyes sometimes during class. She was curious about this though. All of this ran through her head in that quick 2-minute pause the two of them had in the hallway. But in all actuality, she thought about him all the time. Peter was always on her mind, and Michelle was always on Peter's mind. Peter cursed himself for stuttering and being awkward in front of Michelle, and ran to his next class. He slumped into his chair and prepared for the rest of his day, which he really hoped would get better.

Peter Parker's P.O.V

I am such a loser I swear to god. First I go out on patrol at 3 in the morning like the genius I am, then I stutter like a complete idiot in front of MJ? God. I need to get it together. It's only been a few short weeks since the events of what is now being called the "Endgame Final Stand" where I returned 5 years later, and I must say, life is pretty crazy. Is it bad to say I'm happy MJ did get snapped too? Cause I mean then she'd be 21 and I'd still be 16, and that doesn't really work out, she probably would've moved on and found someone else I mean anyone else is better than me I mean jeez I'm just Peter Parker she could be with any football guy or some other guy much cooler than me. Wow. I just overthought, in my thoughts. MJ is actually looking at me right now, probably because of what I just did for her. Since we both came to class late, and I still don't know why she did other than to listen to my conversation. Wait maybe she didn't want me to be the only person late? I don't know. But anyway, I knew she was going to get scolded for being late and not having a pass, so I blurted out, "MJ was with me, her name is on my pass!" I said this while I scribbled her name on it in pencil. Our teacher looked at me with all the doubt in the world, but she let it slide and accepted the pass. MJ texted me from across the room:

MJ: Thanks loser.

Peter: Oh hey yeah no problem it was no issue at all like all good no problem at all! :)

MJ: You do realize you said not a problem 4 different ways, including repeating "no problem" twice right.

Peter: Oh I'm sorry my bad-

As I was finishing that text, our teacher grabbed my phone and started reading my messages aloud, to the whole class, starting with MJ's contact name. I was screwed.

_______

So that is the first chapter! I did not expect for it to drag on this long, as I wanted to start chapter 2 with the Peter Parker P.O.V. Like I said, I have ideas that I know I am going to incorporate into this story, but no solid main storyline, yet at least. I hope you all enjoyed! Chapter 2 will most likely come out tomorrow afternoon!
