Jack flew to the floor. He grunted in pain hitting his desk behind him. He wiped his face of blood.
"I had no choice Reyes!"
"It is your godamn choice to make!
Gabe picked Jack off the floor and swung his arm back for another punch.
"Gabe stop this!" I exclaimed.
I grabbed his arm trying to hold back the punch, but he shook me to the floor. All of a sudden he dropped Jack and took a knee. His finger wiped his nose of blood. Jack stood above him.
"Don't....touch her!"
Reyes chuckled and stood back up looking Jack dead in the eyes.
"Why don't you tell me what's going on Morrison?"
"I can't allow you to manhandle my team like that-"
"Cut the shit! Do you have feelings for Y/N?!" Gabe asked.
I gasped. Jack stared at him wide eyed. His face went pale and he stuttered.
"This is one of those times you wish S.E.P. would've taught you how to lie." Gabe chuckled and looked at me. "I can't believe you haven't told her yet, Jack."
I looked back and forth at them.
"Told me what?"
Just then Gabe smiled mischievously and grabbed Jack's collar pulling him dangerously close to his face.
"You belong to me Jacky."
Jack looked at him annoyed and tried to get Gabe to let go of him, but Jack was pulled in for a kiss. I stood there shocked, petrified. I was short of breath and felt like I was going to fall over. I stared wide eyed. Jack managed to break the kiss. Jack looked away disgusted. Gabriel stared at me grinning and pointed at me.
"Stay away from him or-"
"Don't you dare threaten her! Get the hell out of my office Gabe!" Jack exclaimed leaning against his desk out of breath.
"Whatever you say Jack."
Gabriel gave a dismissive wave and walked out of the office.
Tears started to fill my eyes. Jack was in an abusive relationship and he didn't tell me anything. I stared at him sadly. I tried desperately to hide my anger. A small part of me wanting to pummel Jack to the floor, but the other part wanted to reach out and save him. He leaned against his desk with one hand letting out a small groan. His head turned to look up at me. It was sad, scared looking. I have never seen Jack look so vulnerable, so scared. I wanted more than ever to help him. I walked over helping him stand. He grunted a bit in pain.
"Are you ok?"
"No."
He turned away like he was obviously not doing well. I sighed taking my hands away, but quickly tightened with encouragement.
"I'm gonna get you out of this Jack. You don't deserve it."
"How do you know what I deserve anymore? I lied to you. How can you believe anything I say? How do you know what I've done?"
"You're not a bad person for wanting a healthy relationship Jack. You were just trying to survive. That is what we all do. Survive. I want to help you. What Gabriel is doing isn't right. You may have lied, but I know your feelings are real."
Jack looked down at me feeling reasured. I smiled a bit and put my arms around him gently squeezing.
"Does anyone else know about this?"
Jack shook his head.
"Great, we have no allies. Except-"
Jack's eyes grew wide. He fumbled on his words and waved his hands rapidly.
"No no no! That's a terrible idea!" He exclaimed.
"C'mon, Jesse could help. He doesn't really like Gabriel much. He could be of use."
"But it's....McCree. There are too many things that could go wrong."
"Well, if something goes wrong, we can try again. Cause there is no way in hell I'm giving up on you."
