Temple

It was hot. I heard an eagle call out and pass over us. Widow zoomed in on the target.
"I don't see any soldiers yet."
"Akanda said that there were soldiers here to stop our operation. We are so close."
"Wait, I have movment on the east side of the village."
We sat on a hill overlooking Egypt. The city was filled with people and booths. I zoomed in with my visor to see a strange hooded figure in the crowd. They carried a gun on their back.
"What do you make of this one Robo?" Gabe asked.
He was testing me. I made observations.
"Female from the way she carries herself. Steady walk and stature indicate late 50's to early 60's."
"I'm impressed."
"Do you know her?"
"I've only heard rumors. People call her Shrike. I'm not sure where she came from."
"Sombra how does it look on satellite?"
"She seems to be headed for the temple. I'm getting a heat signature from within the temple."
"Are you sure it's not Talons weapon that's hidden in the temple?" Gabe asked.
"No, it's smaller. Approximately 99 degrees."
"Shrike must be meeting someone." I said.
Gabriel stood up.
"In any case we can't let them get to the weapon. Widow be lookout."
"Robo and I will go in."
We hopped down from the hill and moved in on the temple. The statue of Anubis sat inside. We hid behind a column and watched Shrike enter the temple. She walked to the center. Just then a figure came out from within the temple. It was a man with white hair. He was wearing a mask with a bright red visor on it. I gasped.
"G-Gabriel?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you remember our mission in Russia?"
"You mean when we couldn't kill Katya? You don't need to remind me."
"No. The factory from years ago."
"Oh y-yeah. What about it?"
"You remember I saw a visor that was glowing red while we were in the dark?"
Gabriel started to pick up on what I was trying to say. He stared at the man in shock.
"I-is that him?"
"I think so. I remember that visor. I remember it coming right up to my face and how tall the figure was compared to me. This guy, whoever he is, is an accurate description."
"We need to move in. They are probably here for the weapon."
I quickly put my hand to Gabriel's chest.
"Wait. They are both armed. We need to be smart about this."
He nodded quickly turning to smoke. His cloud of darkness moved like a snake through the Temple. I used my hands and climbed up a column. I readied my rockets and waited for Gabriel to show. I saw him move in and become solid. He grabbed Shrike tossing away her gun. They began fighting. I jumped down using my rockets to guid me. The visor man lokked up surprised. I came down kicking his chin up. He nearly fell back, but quickly gained composure as I landed. He had dropped his gun. I held up my hands getting ready to shoot at him, but he turned to me putting up his fists. I knew this wasn't a fair fight, but I could take him on. I put away my guns holding up my robot hands in a fist. We walked up. I let him throw the first punch. He missed and I landed one against his mask. He threw two more. I blocked the second landing a punch to his chest, but he elbowed me in the back. So much force was put into it that I nearly flew to the wall of the temple. Quickly I regained my balance and jumped up high landing a kick against his blocked arms. We kept blocking eachothers punches until he caught my right punch and I caught his. We pushed hard against one anothers hands. I stared daringly at the visor.
"What the hell are you two old soldiers doing out here!? This is a weapon, property of Talon!"
I heard the man chuckled under his visor. He sounded older and worn out.
"Your hand-to-hand has improved. Of course that's no surprise. You were always a fast learner." He said grunting. "But this time I won't hold back."
I stared in shock. Who was this guy? How could he know me?
"What the hell are you talking about?! I don't know you, old man!"
I pushed him away and landed a kick to his face. He grunted quickly trying to look up. He came at me throwing another punch. I dodged it but felt a slam into my cheek. He managed to lay a punch. I spat out blood, but he fought dirty. I felt his gloved hand grab the back of my neck. His knee bashed into my stomach. I couldn't breathe. I fell to the ground coughing up blood. He might have broken a rib.
"I told you I wouldn't hold back."
I looked up at him feeling dizzy. He grabbed the back of my uniform forcing me to stand. He put his arm around my neck and held my head to his chest. I was too weak to set myself free, but I tried. I grabbed at this guys arms, but it was like moving mountains. No use. I struggled to breathe. I could see Gabriel standing across from me. He had taken down Shrike. She was forced to the ground, laying there imobile.
"Let her go!" Gabriel exclaimed.
"No." The man pointed a knife to my neck. "I'm leaving with her. We won't touch the weapon."
"You fucking let her go right now you bastard!" Gabriel exclaimed pointing a finger.
"You let Shrike go before I cut your preasious little Talon member open!" The man demanded holding the knofe closer to my neck. I gasped staring at Gabriel wide eyed.
"Gabe run!"
"Not an option Y/N! I'm not letting this asshole take you!"
"Just go Gabe! I-I'll be fine!"
I could see Gabriel tensing up. He ripped off his mask. He was gritting his teeth hard tears streaming down his face. I smiled at him.
"I'm gonna be ok Gabe. Just let her go."
Gabriel sobbed hard grabbing at his head. He slowly lifted his foot off of Shrike. She stood up and ran to the man's side.
"You ok?" The man asked.
Shrike nodded.
"Let's get out of here."
"Y/N, I'm going to find you! I promise!" Gabriel cried out.
The man started dragging me away out of the temple. I saw Gabriel slowly disappear from my vision.
"Who the hell are you guys?"
"That is the least of your concern." Shrike said.
They took me onto an older looking jet and sat me down. The man went into a crate to grab something. He was wearing a strange jacket with a large 76 on the back of it. He came back over and tied a blindfold around my head. I felt like I was on that ship for hours, but 9 years of training wasn't for nothing. I remained calm. I felt a firm grip on my arm. I was pulled from the floor of the ship and taken to what felt like some sort of open indoor space. I could still feel the light of the sun against my skin so I knew the room wasn't completely closed from the out doors. It smelled dusty. Though I had trouble breathing I could tell the climate didn't change. We were still in Egypt. Something told me that these guys didn't have much to go to. It made my laugh a bit.
"What's so funny?"
I stopped.
They walked me into a room without light. Based on the eco of our footsteps this room was smaller. I was put into a chair and tied down. My blind fold was finally removed. I waited for my eyes to adjust to the light, but only one dim light glowed from the corner of the room. I looked up to see the man in the mask crossing his arms as he stared down at me. I couldn't see his gaze yet it terrified me. Shrike was nowhere to be found.
"What do you want with me?"
"How do you know it's you I want?" The man said deeply.
"You could've killed me, but you didn't. Why?" I asked.
The man's arms slowly unfolded. He walked closer to me. I struggled to free myself from the chair, but it was no use. He positioned his hands on the armrests of the chair. His mask was almost touching my face. I leaned away frightened. He shifted his head to sit on the side of my head. His voice was quiet.
"I've missed you."
I gasped trying to pull my head feom his face.
"I've never met you in my life!"
I heard him chuckle through the mask. He stood back up and slipped his gloves off. His hands were pale and battle worn. He threw the gloves carelessly to the floor. Then started pulling down the zipper on his jacket. He took it off and hung it up. His muscles were tight against the white T-shirt he was wearing, but I did my best not to blush. He came closer and brought a hand to his visor. It carefully came off his face. I stared in utter shock. I couldn't breathe or blink. I was stunned to see the battled face of Jack Morrison staring directly back at me.
"Y-your dead."
"No Y/N. I survived."
I gasped sharply trying to breathe, but it was spastick.
"J-jack?!"
He looked so worn out. His hair turned white. I couldn't take my eyes off him.
"Y/N, I've been trying to find you for the last 9 years. I finally have." Jack said kneeling in front of me. He smiled in remorse. He looked so desperate. He got close breathing softly. His delicate hand came up to my face. He pressed it against my cheek and carresed it with his thumb. I couldn't believe he was alive.
"I-I search for days Jack." I said tearing up.
I kissed his hand. He pulled my hair out of my face and stood up. He leaned in slowly. His lips colliding with mine. It felt so good to feel him again. It was like he had been brought back to life. I pecked his lips softly.
"I missed you so much Jack."
Jack broke the kiss and held my head.
"Wait y/n. What about Reyes?"
I shook my head.
"None of that matters. I-I just want you Jack."
He smiled and leaned back in to kiss me.
