The alpha teacher's mate

Chapter 2

I awoke from my slumber feeling refreshed, I got out of bed a began to get ready for the day, jumping into the shower I made sure the water was hot in order to relax my muscles. Once I washed and dried, I dressed in a pair of black slacks, a white shirt, with braces paired with a black pair of derby shoes. Leaving my hair in a natural state, I put my glasses on and checked the time it read 10 am so I made my way downstairs towards the dining room to eat. One of the chefs Mabel was setting the table for breakfast as I entered and I sighed in relief.

Mabel is 40 years old and has been the pack chef since I was a child, I used to go to the kitchen and read aloud to her since she was illiterate which lead me to teach her how to read simple books. she was my only friend and I owe her my life for making my childhood at least a little bit bearable. she was quite short at 5'2 with a red curly hair that fell to her shoulders, she is plump which made her extra cuddly, she is very pale with piercing green eyes and a few wrinkles from all the smiling that she does.

"Good morning sweetheart, would you like your coffee and pancakes?"

"That would be amazing, thank you"

I proceeded to sit down and wait for Mabel to bring out my breakfast, I thought about the meeting at 11 am, how am I going to tell my father I wanted a break, I have only been the Alpha for 6 years which is nothing compared to my father, he will be disappointed but I just wanted to be happy and he should respect that decision, my thought stopped abruptly when the door behind me opened and two female wolves walked inside.

" wow look who's here, it's the shitty alpha"

" why don't you just piss off and let Mickey be the alpha"

'Why don't you just leave me alone for once in your lives' I thought. I'm getting fed up of this torture and I can't wait to leave this place so I don't have to deal with these bullies. But until then I have to show them that they can't walk all over me. I stood up and marched up to them until there was barely an inch of space between us.

" you know what, I am your alpha, speak to me like that again and I swear to fucking god you will be punished, do you understand" I growled out

" yes Alpha" they said in unison

they silently walked to the other side of the room and sat down at the table whilst waiting for Mabel to bring the food out, no doubt mind linking others about my second outburst in two days. maybe they will learn their manners and know that I am their Alpha. Mabel cam back in the room with my coffee and pancakes and I nodded in thanks. Before I could be left alone I asked Mabel to pull out a chair and sit with me, seeing the look on my face she sat down and we talked for a while. she told me that she had been learning bigger words with a new chef that we recently hired, which put a pleasant smile on my face. I praised her and asked if she could show me what she had learned at a later date to which she happily agreed.

When I finished Breakfast I said goodbye to Mabel and I made my way down to my office, when I got to the office everyone was already seated. The group consisted of Jeff the pack doctor, he was an old man that had helped many people during pack wars and served our pack very well, his son was soon to join alongside him and continue the fantastic work. Ronny the pack fighter who trains the pack members so that they are ready to fight in both wolf form and human form, there was also Mickey my beta and my father Arthur the previous alpha.

"Hello everyone, I have important news that I would like to talk about but it can wait until the end, firstly-"

We began the usual meeting in which we told each other of our weekly activities and they asked questions they wanted to run by me. once we discussed everything all eyes turned to me, instantly I regretted telling them that I wanted to discuss something important. They will probably all think that I'm too scared to run the pack which is not true, I just wanted to be me and not be judged for it. Mickey spoke first, taking the lead.
