The storm was really coming in. There was no joking with this storm. Shoreline didn't help us. One of the Shoreline boats crashed into us, probably due to Nadine's orders.
All I can remember is falling into the water. I probably went unconscious due to the harsh compact of my body hitting the water.
I coughed when I woke up. I was on land. It took me a little while to get up. I managed to get a blanket that was fine from a supply box. It was a tiny bit of warmth.
"Sam! Nate!" I screamed for I had lost them. I whimpered quietly. "Sam! Nate!" No response. I had to be strong. I knew I had to get out of the rain. I ran into the closest cave and stayed there. I watched the rain. "Sam... Nate... Where are you guys?" I got a few sticks together that were dry and started a fire. It was nice for a while.
I had fallen asleep and I heard somebody in the cave with me. "Hello?" I saw Nathan. I hugged him carefully, "Nathan, you're okay."
He groaned quietly, "Just barely." He saw a light flashing. "Morse code.." I said as my eyes widen, "Sam..." Nathan found a flashlight and did the same. No response. I took off my blanket. It was toasty from the fire. "Here, you need this more than me," I said as I put the blanket on him. He smiled gently at me, "Thanks. Now we just gotta get to that... creepy mountain." I nodded as we began to make our way to it.
We jumped across the waterfalls and ran. I sighed. The ground was a little slippery. Nathan made me go first because nothing seemed to break on me. We climbed up and looked at the water. We saw a boat. "Damn Rafe." I nodded, agreeing with Nathan.
We walked through freezing water. "Oh! Looks like your blanket is getting frozen again," Nathan said with a hearty chuckle. "Meh, long as we have it, it's good enough. It can always dry," I said with a soft smile.
Nathan had it tied around his waist now, so we wouldn't lose it. He found two pitons. He threw one to me. "These should work." I watched Nathan go first and then followed him. I gasped when we heard a gun go off.
"Shoreline," Nathan said as he stayed hidden.
Nathan got a gun, and I had one. "They heard about Sam. I just heard them talking," Nathan informed me. "I just hope he's okay," I said softly with a sigh.
We snuck around. There were so many guys. Nathan killed more than I did. He was better at sneaking and killing than I was. We got caught, and so I pulled out my gun just in case. We shot so many guys. I'm not gonna lie, it's really fun. And then there was nobody left. I sighed and looked for an exit. We found one and started to leave.
Thankfully Nathan was smart and kept making me go first. I was on a stone tower and got onto solid ground, Nathan tried the same thing, but didn't work out so great. I grabbed his hand and pulled him up. I gasped loudly, seeing Sam. "Sam!" I hugged him tightly and he returned it.
"Thank God you're okay," Sam said to both of us. "You definitely got a survivor. I found her with a little campfire, and a blanket around her," Nathan said as he pointed to the blanket around his waist. Sam smiled, probably relieved that we were both okay, "I had a feeling both of you were gonna be okay. Just natural older brother fears."
I smiled as I watched the boys then hug. "C' mon. We got a treasure to find," Sam said. Nathan and I were sitting on a rock.
"Hold up, man, I mean--" Nathan began. He sounded out of breath, "What are we doing?"
Sam looked at him, "What do you mean?"
"I mean our supplies are at the bottom of the Indian Ocean," Nathan sounded slightly annoyed, but probably more so exhausted.
"Okay, so we go steal some from Nadine's army," Sam said like it was nothing.
"Yeah, then there's that- an army!"
"We've been holding on own so far."
I gulped, hoping they wouldn't start fighting. I just stayed there, so my body could get some sort of rest. I tried to ignore them. Until then, I was basically watching for Shoreline.
I saw Nathan stand up and get into Sam's face. I got up and in between them, "Guys, please-"
Nathan just shoved me back, still getting into Sam's face. I shook my head and started to walk away. I doubt either one would have noticed.
I was hidden in the bush. After a couple of minutes of sitting in silence, all my emotions came at me all at once and I started crying silently.
"Wait... Where's Delilah?" I heard one of the boys say in the distance. "Delilah!" I heard the boys scream. I didn't know whether to go out or not. I saw Sam closeby. He noticed me and saw my eyes all red and puffy. "Honey..." He hugged me, "Hey, Nate. I found her." Nathan ran to where we were.
"It's because we were fighting, wasn't it?" Sam looked at me. I looked at them. Sam was looking right into my eyes, "You can be honest." I softly nodded. Nathan's head dropped. Sam hugged me again. "I'm sorry, sweetheart," He said as he kissed my forehead. "I'm sorry, too, Delilah..." Nathan said.
I motioned him to me and hugged them at the same time. "It's okay, boys. Besides, we should go get that treasure," I said as I wiped some tears away. They both smiled at me and chuckled. We all got up and started looking around.
I was with Sam and followed him. We followed Nathan and crept through the old, old home. We moved quickly through it. We were in awe as to what we saw.
