We were still in the cave. I don't know how Sam would know which ship belonged to Avery and which one had the gold, but I'm sure he'd surprise me. My question that I kept in my mind was, 'How do we know that the treasure was in Avery's ship?' I guess that we'd just find out.
I gasped loudly when Sam grabbed my hand and we just ran. "Don't look back!" He shouted. I nodded and ran.
Rafe and Nadine were not at all happy with what we just did. Nadine ordered her men to shoot us.
It was hard to dodge them all, but we managed to miss them all. We kept running. I saw two figures from a distance. I smiled and kept running.
"Sam, he's here!" I yelled as we kept running.
Sam smirked, "I knew he'd find my lighter." I softly chuckled.
There was so many of them. I didn't know that they were all over the ships. How did they get there when we were just getting there? I was seriously curious. That would just have to wait because we were running. I followed Sam since I had no idea which ship to go to.
We jumped onto a ship, which I'm guessing was the right ship. I remembered that I had my twin pistols and pulled them out. I gave one to Sam and started shooting at Shoreline. Sam did the same. We hid together behind a semi-wall. I kissed him really quick before popping my head up to shoot more guys. Sam pulled me down and kissed me back. I blushed, feeling like a teenager with her first crush.
Sam looked up, "Nathan!" He shouted.
"Hold on, Sam! We're coming to you!" I heard Nathan's voice. I saw a blonde blurb. I was a bit confused. Then my eyes widen.
I tapped Sam's shoulder, "He brought Elena. She must have found him after he fell." I smiled brightly, knowing that they were both there. I saw somebody on higher ground and shot them right in the chest.
We kept shooting. I could see Nathan and Elena. Sam got up, "Hey, up here!" I'm guessing he saw Elena and Nathan. I carefully stood up, not seeing any more Shoreline guys. Sam grabbed my hand and we walked over to the ledge. "Wow, you're a sight for sore eyes," Sam said to Nathan. I smiled and waved.
"Yeah. How about we get off this damned beach, huh?" Nathan asked us. Sam and I nodded, "Absolutely." Sam pulled a ladder down.
Sam looked at Nathan. "Did you find my lighter?" I heard a gunshot, but it sounded deeper. Like an RPG. I hated being smart with guns. The rocket hit the ship, making the floor collapse and us falling.
The Shoreline was back at us. We all were shooting. Elena, Nathan, Sam, and I were all shooting. There was so many and we kept on shooting. If I had to guess how many there were, there would be maybe hundreds. Maybe thousands. I felt like there was so, so many. We ran. Sam kept me in front of him. Nathan got separated from us. There was nothing we could do.
We followed Elena. She found Nathan with Sully. "We had some close calls, but they covered me," Elena finished.
My leg was bleeding, and Sam's arm was in a bandage that I made from my shirt. We smiled.
"Hi," we both said at the same time. Nathan looked at us, "Hey." Nathan saw Sam's arm. "How's that?" Sam chuckled. "Oh. A bullet grazed my shoulder, but thankfully Delilah got in wrapped." My shirt was showing my stomach because I had ripped the shirt to wrap his arm. I smiled and waved. Sam looked at Nathan, "You?" Nathan shrugged, "Cliffside... grazed my face." We softly chuckled.
Nathan saw my leg, "What about you?" He pointed to it. "I'll be fine. You think Louis Zamperini stopped running when they abused him in the races?" Nathan gave me a confused look. My mouth was open in surprise. "He was an Olympic gold runner, who got abused during the track races. Because the shoes had spikes, they'd kick his legs, and they'd be all bloody, but he'd keep running." Nathan nodded, understanding. I just looked at Sully and even Sully shook his head at Nathan.
