You rubbed the heel of your palm against your eye a yawn stretching over your face. It felt like you barely placed your head on your pillow before the angry blare of your alarm woke you up for your actual job. The job that paid you for the work you do. You didn't like this job as much as your other one, but you really couldn't even call it a job.

Adjusting the apron around your waist you glanced around the nearly stagnant movement of the diner. You heaved a large sigh and began to wash the counter top for the umteenth time waiting for someone to walk in, and surprisingly your wish was soon met by the bell on the front door ringing. Perking a little you looked up to the man stepping in.

He was thin and gangly, limbs long and almost skeletal, yet he was tall, possibly taller if he didn't slouch under his own weight. You tilted your head a little, you didn't know why but this blonde man seemed almost familiar to you. Pinpointing just where you've seen him is a different task all on its own.

¨Can I order here?¨ He said in a quiet tone

¨Yeah, that's why we have stools at the counter.¨ You replied simply

He nodded a little and pulled the stool out a little to sit down in front of you. You placed a menu down before him tilting your head at his odd fallen bangs that framed his face, you said nothing. Instead you glanced up at the Tv at the far end of the counter as the news about what happened last night played on the screen.

¨-And once again it seems like these vigilante justice is raising an insurgence in people once again. See here how this-¨ the overly passionate reporter started to ramble on about how your hero side caused a random man fight and all that

You gave an eye roll and huffed, ¨I don't think that these ¨vigilantes¨ are actually as bad as they say.¨ You placed a mug in front of the man, ¨Coffee?¨

¨Yes please.¨ He hummed, ¨And why do you say that?¨

You started to pour the warm liquid into the mug as you sighed, ¨They always seem to villify them even though they just  seem like any other hero.¨

¨But they're banned here?¨ The man asked curiously

¨Yeah... It's dumb honestly.¨ You replied with a soft grumble, ¨Crime was still persisting even after they banned heroes, probably even got worse. So of course someone is gonna rise up and try to stop it.¨

The man hummed quietly and took a sip of the coffee you had poured for him. His deep set eyes closed for a moment contemplating something for a moment. He looked back up at you and gave you a soft smile.

¨I suppose that's correct. That's how heroes even came to fruition, isn't it? To put an end to villainy?¨ He said

¨That's not what this place thinks.¨ You replied in a soft huff

¨I'll have this,¨ He pointed to an item on the menu, ¨and hopefully to continue this conversation?¨

You chuckled softly, ¨Of course, I've got plenty of things to say about here.¨
