Chapter 7: Keep Talking Shit

"R-Roy...?"

"Yeah, Peach...?"

"Is this what you've been going through these past few months...?" Peach asked the younger male. Both were currently chained up to the walls, and left in a mess.

Ike was out, apparently in his words;

"I'm out to find a Peach look alike, and if anyone of you fuckers try to escape, you will regret it big time."

Roy sighed, "Well, Ike only hurt me twice, but other than that, he's just been forcing me to cover him."

Peach felt her heart drop at his words, 'If only I haven't killed Samus, Ike wouldn't have become like this.'

"I'm so sorry, Roy."

Roy cocked his head, "hm? For what?"

Peach exhaled deeply, "Don't you remember? How I went around killing people?"

Roy mouthed an 'o' "Ohhh.. I remember... Ike was so bad to me I forgot you were even bad..."

Peach's eyes were filled with sorrow for Roy, not only for him, but Ike too. If she hadn't been responsible for this Roy would've never been hurt.

Next thing, her mind thought of Marth.

And his words.

The way he helped her fight through the darkness that has clouded her mind, the way he helped her believe that she could change the past.

They way he loved her with all his heart.

Peach didn't deserve this, no, but even if she can't fully forgive herself, she was gonna try and change for the better.

She thought of the words she said back in Isle Delfino...

"...who knows, we just might never see each other again."

Roy was about to fall asleep until he heard chains clattering around. His head shot up to see Peach struggling against the chains, "Peach what are you doing...?" Roy groaned, slightly annoyed by the noise.

"Trying to get out!" She replied, gritting her teeth as she used all her strength to pull out, bruising her wrists in the process.

Roy's mood worsened, "Peach, just stop. You've done enough. Enough to yourself, to us. I don't need you to make everything worse by trying to be a hero. You've done enough bad to hurt me, you and everyone else. Now everything rewinded and Link is out for you. What's the point of trying anymore if you know you're gonna die anyways. Just... stop."

Tears brimmed Peach's eyes as Roy spoke, not from sadness, but from anger. She was angry. At herself. That overwhelming feeling of hopelessness had hit her again, causing her to scream...

And light fire.

Roy's eyes widened at her in shock and fear. He had never seen Peach in this state. He could literally feel the heat radiating from her. Well, it was literal fire.

The chains that once bound Peach to the wall had melted, freeing her sore wrists and standing up.

Peach glared at Roy as the fire perished. She grabbed the key to the chains, and freed Roy. His mouth and eyes were still wide from shock, "since when..."

"I don't need to here more words from you, Roy Pherae. Let's go."

Peach helped him up, gesturing him to get going. Roy didn't say a word, not wanting Peach to burn him out of anger because he said something to trigger her.

As soon as Peach and Roy stepped outside of Ike's hideout, they were greeted by Pit and Palutena standing there in shock, but the silence was soon broken by Roy breaking down and running to hug Pit, embracing everything about the angel.

Palutena frowned, looking at Peach, then back at Roy, "What happened..."

Pit nodded, "Yeah Roy! You were going to tell us something about Ike changing... how did he change...?"

Roy stumbled all over his tongue, unable to form words.

Palutena then glared at Peach, "What did you do-"

"Ike fucking raped him and I, Palutena. Ike has been raping people for the last five months. And now we're all fucked because Link is insane and after me. So keep treating me like a low bitch and blaming me for everything, Palutena, just because I did something in my past that I never wanted to do in the first place. I was misguided, and something took advantage of me when I was grieving for all of my best friends!"

Pit flinched at Peach's outburst, while Palutena stared at her with a blank expression.

"So yeah, go ahead and ask Roy about how he's doing, but not me. I faced the same trauma as he did, I lost everything I loved. Keep putting me down, because you know what? You can keep talking shit, and will I love it every time."

No one spoke.

"Maybe he was right.... you aren't my true friends..."

Those were her last words before she ran off.

It was dead silent. No one knew what to say after that, until Palutena broke the silence, "Roy... is it true..? Ike is a rapist...?"

Roy silently nodded.

"Ever since he lost Samus, he lost his mind and heart..."

Pit felt like crying at the moment. Everything was too much for him to handle.

Roy continued, "I ran into him one day in the café. I saw him with another girl named Elincia. I was surprised to see him move on so fast, but at the same time, he looked kind of bored on that date."

Palutena and Pit looked at each other, the back to Roy.

"I walked over to him, happy to see him 'doing so well,' he greeted me back, but not as cheerful as he could've been. Later when he took me back to his place, he told me he wanted to take the next step with Elincia, and that's when I found out that he's only been dating her for a week. He almost looked desperate to have sex with her, so when the time came, and Ike invited her over, I watched as the Ike I once knew die.."

"What did he..?"

"Elincia wasn't ready for sex. She was a virgin, but Ike couldn't accept that, and he did it anyways, and I saw it all... I was a coward... I should've stopped him before it was too late."

Roy took a deep breath, collecting himself, "Afterwards, Elincia ran away, and I followed her. She was in tears and she didn't know where she was going. I tried to call for her, but.... she crossed the street and got hit by a car..."

"No..." Pit whimpered.

"Ike found me sobbing there, and took me to help him 'fill his desires...' and that's when he began doing more..." Roy couldn't hold it in anymore and sobbed once again, causing Palutena to hug him immediately.

"I miss Ike... I miss the old Ike... so so much.." Roy whispered.

"This is what love can do..." Palutena said, "Link, Ike and Peach all lost something they loved..."

Pit spoke, "What are you getting at..?"

"Love may look pretty, but really, if one thing goes wrong, it's deadly."
