I gently lifted Jacks' head up onto my lap so that it wasn't resting on the cold, hard floor. He must've taken quite the hit, with the oar followed by the impact with the ground. I wouldn't have left him, he didn't deserve it. He had been nothing but kind and protective over me throughout the voyage, and if he was going to protect me, then I was at least going to do my best for him.
I was no longer paying attention to the whole Elizabeth thing. I trusted Will to get Elizabeth, I knew that she had been knocked out, and that Will and snuck around, so I had faith, I was just worried about Jack.
I stroked his cheek, leaning closer to his ear.
"Jack love, wake up, please," I begged. I had no response, and I sighed deeply.
"Jack we have to go. Don't make me slap you Jack, please wake up,"
He stirred slightly to my great relief.
"Jack!" I smiled, I shook his arm a little to fully wake him up. He grunted as he became conscious.
"Wha....ow ow ow!" he groaned as he tried to fully sit up from"Woah, woah, woah Jack hang on," I smiled, lying him back down for a second. He groaned again, opening his eyes.
"Wha..'appened???" he mumbled and I smiled kindly at him.
"It's alright Jack, you took a blow to the head, but it'll be ok, now sit up slowly,"
"Where's the whelp?" he asked.
"He went to find Elizabeth, I think they've left now, and are probably aboard the interceptor," I explained.
"Bugger, we'll 'ave to find Barbossa with any chance of getting off this island," he sighed, slowly sitting up and looking at me. I nodded, examining his head, I didn't see any cuts or bruises, but it was dark.
"You didn't go with 'em?" he questioned surprised.
"No, I wasn't going to leave you after all that you've done for me,"
"Oh, thank you darlin'," he smiled.
"It's fine Jack, but we have to go, can you stand up?" I asked, worried about his condition, and his head.
I stood up and took his arm, slowly and gently pulling him up. He was fully standing when he began to wobble a bit, I grabbed his frame to stable him and he nodded a small nod in thanks, grabbing the oar that Will had dropped to steady him.
"You alright?" I asked worriedly.
"Don't worry about me love, now where is that mutinous cur?" he almost growled.
"He's somewhere that way," I said, pointing to the direction that I had last seen him.
Jack began to walk and stumble that way, I followed closely behind him in case he fell or did something stupid.
He used the wooden oar as a walking stick and held my other hand as he marched onward, looking for some crew members or something.
"Are you feeling okay Jack?" I asked, still worried that he was going too fast after his injury.
"Aye, I'll be fine love," he chuckled, he was acting very drunk, though I was positive he was always somewhat drunk.
Soon enough, after we had wandered around aimlessly for several minutes, we walked out into the clearing of the cave. In all honesty, I had realized that the only way we were going to get off the Isla de Muerta was for us to board the Black Pearl.
We realized that we had been spotted when a tall, skinny man with a wooden eye pointed at us, or more specifically, Jack.
"You!"
