I was shoved in the cabin as I wouldn't go without force. They shut the door and locked it; Elizabeth was just staring at me with furrowed brows. She put down the book that she had began reading when I left and stood up, coming over to me.
"Hazel? What did you do?" she asked. I realised from her perspective it looked as though I had done something stupid; I had left and been forced back in.
"No, we're here, and James doesn't want me hurt, so we'll have to get out of here on our own. But we should wait for a little while so we know that they've definitely already gone," I whispered. She nodded.
"But how?" she questioned. I gestured over to an open window and her face up.
"We jump?" she asked a little nervous. I bit my lip in thought.
"Aha!" I exclaimed, "Elizabeth, while we wait we need to tie the bedsheets together, and when it's time we use them to lower ourselves down, then there'll be no splash either," I whispered and she agreed, grabbing two of the sheets and beginning to tie them.
Shortly after, I heard a knock on the door. Me and Elizabeth froze and stayed quiet.
"Girls?" I heard Fathers voice call. We sighed a breath of relief. I don't know what we thought it could be, but either way, we weren't in trouble, I hoped.
"Hazel, I came to talk to you mainly, actually," he sounded as if he was unsure of himself. I silently gagged, he was no doubt talking about me accepting Norrington.
"Well, Hazel, I...uhh..I believe you made a very good decision today," I could hear his emotions in the way he talked, he was nervous, sort of proud but also, sad?
Me and Elizabeth shrugged before continuing to put the sheets together, knotting them tightly.
"I, couldn't be more proud of you," he spoke. My Father was usually disappointed in me, it felt different for him to be proud of me, though I wished he was proud of something I was happy with doing.
"But you know..." he continued, "Even a good decision if made for the wrong reasons, can be a wrong decision,"
He could say that again, I would never have accepted if it weren't for Will and Jack.
Me and Elizabeth now had the sheets ready, we opened the window to its fullest and slowly draped the linen out.
"Hazel? Elizabeth?" he questioned, "are you there?"
It was at this point that I signalled for her to leave quickly. She nodded and slid down, me following suit. I couldn't hear anything more that Father said.
When we both surfaced from the water, I began to talk.
"I'll go to Jack, you go and free the crew that are held on the Pearl,"
"Hazel, it's not safe!"
"Do as I say Elizabeth, I know what I'm doing, I promise,"
She sighed and agreed, swimming off in another direction. If I was quick, then I'd make it in time.
I swam most of the way underwater, through the same route I had taken when we were with Will. I saw the place with the chest and the surrounding water. I swam to the darkness. Will was held on the small island thing in the middle where the chest was. The crew were all chanting as they did before with Elizabeth. I saw no sign of Jack. I stayed in the shallows and in the darkness, I doubted anyone would see me, they were all to excited.
It was then that I saw the crowd of Barbossa's men part slightly. I looked at it in confusion.
"Begun by blood, by blood.." Barbossa started, not again. Where was Jack!
