When we got back to the ship, Jack helped me up before he was pulled away and scolded for touching me.

"Father! He did nothing wrong!"

"He's a pirate and is to be hanged tomorrow morning, and take that bloody tiara off your head," he ordered. I took it off and threw it across deck.

"Father! Don't kill him, Commodore, he saved us, he saved our lives, please don't kill him, for me!" I begged. Jack had his head down.

Commodore looked at me sadly.

"We are bound by the law Hazel, I'm sorry," he explained.

I shook my head, blinded by my tears.

"Men, lock him in the brig,"

Two soldiers instantly grabbed Jack by the arm and dragged him down below deck.

I walked up to my Father.

"You're going to hang him!" I cried. Will and Elizabeth weren't helping at all, they just stood there solemnly.

"Yes Hazel, he is a pirate,"

I scoffed.

"None of us would be here without him!" I argued. I would do everything in my power to stop Jack being hanged.

"Hazel I'm sorry, maybe you should return to your quarters for the night," he proposed. I shook my head in disbelief.

I walked up to him and pointed my index finger in his face.

"If you were a proper Father to me, and even cared one bit for me, you wouldn't hang him, he saved my life, and I care for him, and if you hurt him, I will no longer be your daughter!" I whispered harshly so that only he could hear.

"Hazel I need to talk to you," he spoke. Everyone was looking at us confused.

"Oh no, I think our conversation is over,"

He dragged me to his quarters and sat me down. I was about to protest but he gave me that serious/sad look so I decided to just allow him to speak. Maybe he was going to tell me what he was going to do with Jack, maybe he decided to let him go free.

"Hazel, you know I love you," he began.

"Father, saying this won't change my opinion on you if you choose to hurt Jack," I explained.

"That is not up to me Hazel, but what I really wanted to tell you, with this whole ordeal to do with pirates, and the predicament with Mr Sparrow..."

"Spit it out Father, I don't have time for this, I don't have time for you," I spat, anger flowing through my veins, imagining Jack dying, or just sat alone right now in the brig.

"Hazel please," he said in an almost inaudible voice. I could tell he was sad, so I cooled my head and took a deep breath, deciding to actually let him speak.

"Ok, what is it?" I asked calmly.

"Hazel, this will come as a shock to you, but I promise I won't let it affect anything, however, you aren't my real daughter, your Father was a pirate,"

What? How? It couldn't be. My Father, wasn't my actual Father. Now I understood why Elizabeth was always the favourite. I think my shocked face and silence have him a prod to continue.

"When me and your Mother were trying to have a child, we couldn't, and so we adopted you, you had been left in an orphanage, with no name, all we knew was that your Father was a pirate, and then a few years later we had Elizabeth, of course,"
