Shoto's POV

I sigh out. My dad couldn't go a few hours without fucking his twink, huh?

I laugh in my head, so I smile slightly in real life.

Go dad.

The class goes on, and it's boring! I just do back up vocals, that's why I took this class, but I didn't know it would be so boring!

The bell finally rings, so I get up to leave, but Mr. Hōkusu has to stop me...

"Sho-Todoroki, can I speak with you for a second?"

I do my head at him, then face towards Izu and Ura. "You guys go ahead without me."

"You sure?" Ura asks, looking at me uncertainly.

I smile and nod. "Yup, go ahead."

I walk away from them to Hawks, looking at him with a bored expression. Just because I forgive my dad, doesn't mean I have to like him.

"Hey, you're not gonna tell anyone why I was late, right?"

I sigh. "How would I know why you were late?" I totally know.

He groans. "Shoto, I know you know why I was late. I see it in your eyes."

"I do know."

He sighs. "Can you not tell anyone?" I look at him skeptically. "Please."

"Fine."

He beams and sighs in relief. "Thank you!"

"Whatever. And don't call me Shoto. Only friends and family call me that, and you are neither." I turn away to make a dramatic exit, but then the bell rings. I cringe and turn back around slowly towards him. "Can I also... I don't know... get a note as to why I'm late?"

He folds his arms and smirks, turning around and grabbing some paper to write down some shit excuse for me.

He hands me the note, then grabs onto my shoulder.

"What are you doing?" I ask, looking at his shoulder in disgust.

"I'm going to walk with you to your next class, so, y'know, they don't think you forged the note."

I sigh and roll my eyes. "Whatever."

My next class in practically at the other side of the building... great...

It's quiet for a few seconds, which is so nice, but Hawks ruins it by trying to start a conversation with me.

"Are you entering the contest?"

"Yeah."

"Are you entering solo? Your father would do that." He smiles and laughs, which chases me to smile slightly. Damn it! His laugh is just so god damn contagious!

"No, my friends and I started a band."

"Ooh, have you guys made any songs yet?"

I nod, putting my hands behind my back and holding them. "Yeah, one definite one, and two are in the works. I'm kinda already nervous and stressed about it." I laugh lightly and look down.

He blows a raspberry. "Don't worry about it, kid. They just told you guys about it last week. No need to stress. You have till the end of the year."

I nod again. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

We go silent again, but it's not too long till we get to my classroom.

"I'll walk in with you."
