Chapter Three

~ ࿇ ♕ ࿇ ~

Catherine was left to stare at the Yautja, her breathing picked up. If this one was anywhere close to Gwan she was certainly in store for a lot. Though as she examined him, she realized he was quite different then Gwan.

His skin was paler then Gwan's, he also seemed taller and bigger. She had to look up at him, which didn't help when she was the one trying to seem intimidating.

"You shouldn't be out here..." he growled in English, it sounded like he had spoken the tongue his whole life. No shit Sherlock I shouldn't be out here. She felt the urge to say that, though fought it back. This wasn't the time.

"I-" she fought to find something to say. She wanted to know so much though her mind was void of any words that could possibly slip out.

She was stopped by a snarl behind her, she looked and caught sight of Gwan. Her stomach sank, what was worse was that she recognized other Yautja nearby. All staring at her.

"You absolute fool!" Snarled the Yautja as he advanced to her, she trampled back and found herself right against the blue-eyed one. She jumped, she needed out of here right now. "You have no idea of the importance you pose! Such idiocy!" He exclaimed as he grabs her, his hand tight and digging into her arm.

She bites her lip to stop from either kicking him or yelping from the pain it caused her arm. Gwan glared at her like daggers were being thrown right into her, tearing through her to nothing but a quivering human.

He tugged her to follow. The abrupt beginning making her trip from the misuse of her legs. She almost fell to the floor though she grabbed by the one behind her, "Gwan." She heard that one speak yet hadn't the faintest idea of what it said.

"Be a tad gentle. You're scaring the s'yuit-de(shit) out of this one." He chuckled, unknown to Catherine. Gwan turned to him and grumbles.

"Really? Me be gentle? Try and stand to be in its presence! It acts like such a whining child, exactly as its pathetic species would." He snarls, dropping her arm and curls his mandibles back.

"Her." The blue-eyed one corrected.

He looked at the Yautja. "You take her then since I'm not being 'gentle' with her." Gwan breathed a heavy sigh exasperatingly and turns back, stalking further into the room and towards another hallway. The Yautja followed, pulling Catherine along with him. He felt her quivering and lowered his mandibles to her ear.

"You mustn't show weakness here, ooman. These Yautja will shame you for it as long as your with us, put on a strong face young r'ka (fire)." He explained, watching her as she glanced at his face briefly.

She took a deep breath but nodded. Catherine couldn't be seen as weak, she would not allow herself to be shamed by these aliens. Even if she was scared and confused, she couldn't allow herself to be a doormat to a damn alien species. She straightened her back, tried to make her strides more intact and relaxed the muscles in her face best she could. Looking in front of her, not at the Yautja that stared her down as predators do to their prey.

They arrived at a room, as the door opened it was revealed to be another space with glass walls. They were separated by even more of those Yautja on beds, there seemed to be more than a hundred just in this room.

Gwan was the one who went to a wall, there was a dark grey suit on the wall. It reminded Catherine of a hazmat suit. She watched as the one that had lead her here retrieve a mask from a shelf and taps her shoulder. "You should wear this." He said she went to grab the mask though he fastened his hand around her wrist.
