There Adrien was, sitting with Lila, for 2 whole hours. He could feel Chloe's cold stare on him from her seat which was on the row across from him. Unfortunately, Marinette was sitting with Chloe. Mari had a look of pure annoyance written on her face. Adrien felt sad and guilty for not accompanying with her on the shuttle. All he heard was Lila blabbing about a whole bunch of lies she had been making up.

"I swear Adrien, I talked to Ladybug and she said that we are best friends! Isn't that so nice? I mean... I am pretty popular and kind, I just don't know why I don't have a boyfriend yet." Lila said

"I think Ladybug is pretty great! I will have to ask her in person about being best friends with you to see if we can all hangout" I retorted knowing that it was all a lie about them being friends. I also chose to ignore her comment about not having a boyfriend.

I look to Chloe's row and I surprisingly see her fast asleep. I leaned forward in my chair to see if Mari was okay after the whole seating arrangement chaos. She had a concentrated look on her face. She was wearing headphones while sketching something in a book of hers. I don't know why, but when I saw Mari smile after putting her pencil down to look at her work, I felt happy as well. I imagined her walking on the run way at one of my father's fashion shows showing off her latest design. I was snapped out of my daydream when Lila tapped my shoulder.

"Hey Adrien, why are you smiling? Also, why are you red, is it hot in here? How about we go to this expensive hotel my mom's friend owns, it'll have great air conditioning."

I must have been zoned out. There were a bundle of thoughts going through my head. I should get my head out of the clouds, Mari is just a friend. Second, I didn't notice I was red which made me feel self conscious. Luckily, the shuttle driver announced we were finally at the hotel and giving us a warning to gather all our belongings. That saved me the awkward explanation of answering any of Lila's questions.

After coming to a complete stop, all the students packed their backpacks and got out of the shuttle. The hotel was luxurious. There was a marble white entrance lined with palm trees. You could smell the salty breeze flowing in from the ocean which wasn't too far away. It was a completely different atmosphere from Paris' gloomy setting. The warm air mixed with the glistening sun gave off "summer" vibes.

Stretching from the long ride, the class headed inside to grab their door cards. Mrs. Bustier got all the cards and turned around to pass them all out. Chloe's dad was so generous as to give every student their own room. The only downside was that the rooms were smaller since it would be a one bedroom. One whole floor was completely booked especially for the school.

Everyone began to take the elevators and go to their rooms to change. One thing that Mari and Adrien didn't know was that the staff made a mistake without knowing. By accident, they had duplicated the same room key twice. Both Adrien and Mari had the same room number, but they didn't realize that yet ;)
