Chapter 9: Order

Adrien POV:

"Miss, you have very pretty earrings" says the creep who got on the same elevator as us. I noticed Marinette feeling uncomfortable. Her body stiffened after the statement the man made. I was not a happy camper.

When I saw the man starting to lean down, I was increasingly concerned. I was getting mad and annoyed with this man's behavior. I was about to move Marinette out of the way until something... incredible happened.

Wack. "Listen, sir. Don't ever try to get near me or touch me again. I am already having a confusing day as it is. Now get your body away from me! Learn some manners and treat ladies with respect," Marinette shouted at the creepy business man. She had slapped the man's hand away from her ear...hard. I was looking at her the whole time with wide eyes. I've never seen Mari act so..so.. cool.

I snapped back into reality and pulled my friend away from the weird man and glared at him. It seemed to intimidate him as I deeply death glared into his soul. I look down at Marinette and see if she's okay. She looks livid with defense and anger. Her eyebrows are furrowed and a frown appears on her face. The rest of the elevator was silent other than Marinette's heavy breathing.

We step off the elevator and I am angry as well. I know violence isnt the answer, but men like this can't go off the hook. I grab the creep but his collar off the elevator and drag him to the front desk. My demeanor changes and I turn into a polite gentleman. "Hello miss, I would like to report a harassment," I look at her with a smile and I explain everything that happened. Security ended up taking the guy outside and he was kicked out of the hotel. Another justice has been accomplished.

It suddenly hits me that I didn't know where Marinette is. I was so focused on getting the business man punished. I look around the lobby and find a nervous Marinette.

"Hey, are you okay? I sorted everything out so you don't have to worry about running into that creeper." I say in a gentle voice.

"I'm okay, I was just very upset. I hated if he had done this before and I was the only girl to speak up. Guys like that should not have so much power. Anyways, thank you for removing him before I actually hit him," Marinette laughs. "You were really cool when you slapped his hand away. You weren't afraid of him and it was incredible!" I vent out. She smiles and appears kinda red. It must be hot in here, so we should get the card mistake solved.

I help Marinette up and we both walk to the desk. "Hi again miss, we actually have another problem. We both have the same room card even though we should have separate rooms. I believe the card was duplicated by accident."

The concierge looks at me with a smile and says, "Oh, I see! Let me look up and see if we more available rooms." I wait for her to find more rooms until she says, "I apologize sir, but we have no more room. Mr. Bourgeois had already reserved the rooms in a month's advance. All the other rooms are taken which means there are no other rooms. I deeply apologize once again."

Marinette and I turn to each other and both thank the concierge for helping us. We go back to the elevator and discuss what we are to do. Mari is the first one to speak. "I can go to Alya's room to stay with her and we can both share a room card. I'm sure she wouldn't mind!"

"Are you sure with that Mari? I can always sleep on the pull out couch and you sleep on the bed." I say to show her about having options. "I'm sure Adrien, thank you for everything. I'll go get my stuff from the room and then text Alya." And with that, Mari said her goodbyes after fixing the mess we had created earlier from bumping into each other.

That whole mix up was an adventure. It was fun until the creep showed up, but it was nice spending time with a friend. I go change into my swim trunks and head to meet up with Nino. I think it's time Adrien Agreste had a real vacation.
