Lanling palace was full of decorations. Everyone is busy having fun and enjoying the generous banquet that the Jin clan's leader, Jin Zixuan had prepared. It was indeed a day of celebration.

Every clan had sent their childe to offer their congratulations to the Lanling master and madam.

Sitting on his throne, the proud and happy Jin Zixuan, looked at his wife that's sitting next to him. Jiang Yan Li, the older sister of Jiang clan's leader, Jiang Cheng, had just announced a wonderful news. The Jin and Jiang's madam is pregnant with their first child.
Both Cheng and Zixuan insists that it will be a boy, while the ever so silly Yiling patriarch Wei Wuxian teased them that it will be a girl.
"Believe me" Wuxian blurted out "Just by looking at how shijie is so pretty while being pregnant, I can tell it's a girl"
(*Shijie - refers to a female that is a senior)
"Shut it, Wei Wuxian!" Zixuan scolded "I know my first born will be a boy"
"Don't be mad, my lord. A-Xian is just teasing you" Yan Li calmed her husband down.
Wuxian stuck his tongue out to tease Zixuan even more. Satisfied with his reaction, Wuxian then turned to his shidi.
(*Shidi - refers to a junior)
"Eh, Jiang Cheng. Why is your lady Wen not here yet?"
"After you turned her brother in to a walking corpse, do you think she'd still want to see you?" Jiang Cheng answered coldly. Even though the now Wen clan leader, Wen Qing doesn't say anything, he knows and he can feel that his girlfriend still grieves over the lost of her younger brother.
"Ey! He was already dead when I turned him to a zombie. It's not as if I was the one who killed him" Wuxian still justifying his demonic acts.
"That's not the point" Lan clan's 2nd childe and one half of the Gusu Lan twin jade, Lan Wangji butted in.
"Lan Zhan, who's side are you on?"
"Not yours"
"Ah, Lan Zhan-ah!"
They just ignored the childish patriarch. Although he had caused big troubles, it is undeniable that he took a big part in saving all of them from the claws of the previous Wen clan leader, Wen Rouhan.
"Lord Jin, a visitor from the mountains of Handu request to be in your presence" one of the Jin disciples informed them.
"Is it an envoy? Take him to a guest room and tell him we can meet after the celebration" Zixuan's younger brother, Jin Guangyao ordered.

"She's not an envoy, Lord Jin" the disciple looks flustered "She's the leader of their cultivation clan"
"Oh? Let her in then"
"Why does that place sounds familiar?" Nie clan's 2nd childe, Nie Huaisang thought loudly "I think I have heard of it before"
A few moments later, a lady dressed in black with silver designs came in. She bowed down to all the clan leaders present before facing the throne.
"My apologies for interrupting such a grand celebration, Lord Jin" the lady said in a soft voice. Hinting the unwillingness to cause trouble. "I came here for two reasons"
"Be at ease. Just speak frankly" Guangyao's face lighten up. As if he had known and been waiting for the guest's arrival
The lady straighten up and smiled.
