They rested a good twenty four hours in Qishan. And true enough, they got their yineng back. Guangyao, Xuanyu, Xue Yang, Wuxian, Wen Ning and even Bai He took turns teleporting the elders and their clan disciples back to their territories. They did so to avoid the risk of encountering more troubles along the way.

Guangyao then went back to Gusu with Xichen and Lan Qiren to help in mending the damages. And in case of another attack, he can teleport the two to safety.

The travellers went back to Leifeng province to find clues or traces that can help them recognize the enemy.

Huaisang went to Handu with Xian Ren to fetch their son before going back to Qinghe. The ladies stayed in Wen Qing's palace. Yanli was giving Bai He and Wen Qing some cooking lessons.

Wuxian, Wangji, Jiang Cheng, Zixuan, Wen Ning and their sons, as well as Jingyi, went back to the turtle cave outside Qishan.

"What are we looking for in here?" Jiang Cheng asked.

"Traces of that masked man that attacked the kids last time" Wuxian answered.

"Oh right, I haven't asked you yet. What are they even doing here in the first place?"

"That day, we received a report that lots of animals had been dying around here, jiujiu" Jin Ling explained "So I went here to check it out, but I got caught by a spiritual net"

"Ah . . about that . ." Feng Zi interrupted them "Those dead animals wasn't exactly dead. They were just immobilised."

"Eh? Why?" Jin Ling asked.

"Aniē developed a new potion that can restrain a person's movement. She's been testing it to animals around here. The person will still be able to talk and all his senses will still be functioning but you won't be able to move from your neck down"

"Why did jie invent such potion?" Wen Ning asked innocently.

"I don't know either, jiujiu" Feng Zi then looked at Jiang Cheng "Aniē said it was a surprise for diē"

Wuxian exchanged looks with Zixuan and Wangji, then they looked at Jiang Cheng before Wuxian burst out a very loud laughter. He literally rolled down, hitting the ground his hand while uncontrollably laughing. Even Zixuan had to cover his face because he too can not suppress his laughter.

Most surprisingly, Wangji also curved up his lips, trying so hard not to laugh with them.

"Shut up, Wei Wuxian!" Jiang Cheng shouted at him. Wuxian only stopped briefly to look at him then laughed even harder when he saw how red Jiang Cheng's face had become.

"I didn't know . . Wen . . Qing . . has that . . kind of dominant . . thoughts" Wuxian said in between his laughter.

"If you don't stop, I'll call fairy here!"

And in an instant, Wuxian stopped laughing. He stood up, straightened his clothes and walked like nothing happened.

They looked around inside and out the cave but found nothing. So they decided to leave and just go back to Wen Qing's palace. They mounted their swords and flew over Emerald river. Wuxian riding with Wangji and Wen Ning riding with Yang.

They were joking and playing around when suddenly, two long tentacle like thing ascended from the water so fast and managed to snatch Suihua and Sandu. Making Zixuan and Jiang Cheng jumped onto their son's swords.

The two tried to call on their swords but they won't come out.
