"3020." That was the date of the city we arrived to. The inconsistency is clear. It's still 2019, I swear on my word. Perhaps the townspeople were wrong, but no, that's impossible. Their tools and items aren't exactly what you'd call "normal". All of them are automatic. Automatic drills, automatic crane, automatic can opener...and so on and so forth. It has gotten dark, and we needed a place to stay in...

"This has got to be a joke...", Simon said.

"Well, young man, this is not a joke...", the mayor said, " Today is July 29, 3020. This is no prank. I assure you, none of this is fake."

Of course, I believe him. He is the mayor after all. He'd have full knowledge of his own city. We may really have time-travelled. If that is the case, then I suppose Andrew and the Prime Minister also travelled to this time.

"Well, since you've just arrived, why don't you look for a place to stay?", the mayor suggested.

He clearly knows our situation. It's clear that he have seen other people with the same situation as ours.

"Sure thing, sir!", Lucy exclaimed, "We'll go look for a hotel!" This'll be a bother.

Everything is a bother, I didn't expect much. Soon, we headed out, looking for a hotel. It's obvious we had problem searching for a hotel, all the buildings look similar! In some way, at least. Of course, I also tried searching for both Andrew and the Prime Minister.

"We still can't find a hotel!", Lucy exclaimed, "Some of these buildings doesn't have a sign!" Can't argue with her, but...

"I could've sworn I saw a hotel nearby...", I said, "Wanna go check?"

Lucy gave a...deep look. Her face looks even more cuter that way. Anything makes her face cuter.

"You could've just told us!", Simon said.

I gave a brief smug look. I'll be doing that as long as we're with Simon, I suppose. And so, we headed back, again. We arrived at the building, and it turns out that it was a hotel! I just gave a wild guess right there. We took our keys and went upstairs. We arrived at our hotel room...

I have to say, it looks grand! Like a luxury hotel! There were two beds, which means that two of us has to share in the same bed

I have to say, it looks grand! Like a luxury hotel! There were two beds, which means that two of us has to share in the same bed. This is bad news for me. We first decided who'll be sharing the same bed.

"I did not expect this.", I admitted. The result is obvious, Simon would be alone on the bed.

"What about...you and Lucy'll share the same bed?", Simon asked me.

Of course, I had trouble answering it. Some part of me wants to share, some doesn't.

"How about it, Max?", he asked once again.

"Well, y-yes, but a-actually, n-no.", I answered.

I'm obviously nervous. It's not that I don't want to be with a girl, I'm just not good with a girl. This has taken a while now.
