❛ ━━・❪ ❁ ❫ ・━━ ❜He decided not to go to the infirmary where you lay motionless on the bed. He was in his room, in bed as he stared at the dull and plain ceiling. He was differing the odds of his situation. He was analyzing what he should've done and what the outcomes would be.
He had left Ieiri to stare at the empty doorway as his fading footsteps became inaudible to the ear. It was a decision that he made and that made her angry. She wanted him to fight for his friend not to go the easy way. She could see how much he looked at her. He was in love and he was in denial.
She knew that a long time ago and here he is avoiding those feelings. The true emotions that he could use to help save you. She was debating on whether to rush to wherever he went and beat the living hell out of him. Anything to get him to come to his senses or maybe he already was.
She left the room and made her way to where you were being confined. She opened the door hoping to see the white-haired male at the end of the bed or beside her bed but found it empty. There was no trace of him being inside either so she concluded that he couldn't bring himself to be near you.
She was going to start the operation. This was going to be the hardest part of her life. She was supposed to extract roots from your lungs and try to avoid those side effects from happening. There was a fifty-fifty chance that she could prevent them, but the remaining percent would ruin it all.
She sighed as she pulled on gloves. She stared at your motionless body. Your skin looked so pale and icy looking. It was obvious you were on the brink of absolute end. Your lips were cracked as the mechanical ventilation was covering them.
Ieiri turned around to prepare her tools for the surgery when she heard a strangled gasp. She jumped around to notice that you had woken up in a rush. Your breathing was erratic as your body was finally coming back to its senses. Your eyes widened as you grazed every part of the room.
You met the eyes of Ieiri who looked back at you in concern. She lowered her arms to her side as her feet took her to the side of the bed. You calmed down when you realized it wasn't Gojo. He didn't seem to be in the area if you weren't coughing or having a whole seizure of coughs.
"You knew, didn't you?" she asked as she begin to remove the latex on her hands.
She couldn't continue now that you were awake. She was hoping that you were in a coma (not in a harmful way) when she would perform the surgery, but now that you appeared to be okay, she couldn't. And she needed your permission.
"Knew what?" you grabbed onto the mask that was giving you fresh air and ripped it off your face.
"Hanahaki. You knew you had it," Ieiri folded her arms over her chest as she stared at your moving figure.
